We had a wonderful experience thanks to Aaron! We rented a chair and umbrella on the beach, and from start to finish, he made sure everything was perfect. The beach itself was peaceful, calm, and quiet—no loud or obnoxious behavior, just a relaxing vibe all around. Aaron was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He really listened to our preferences and helped us find the perfect spot on the beach. He had a great attitude the entire time—smiling, friendly, and genuinely kind. It’s rare to find someone who takes such pride in their work and brings such positivity to every interaction. Thank you, Aaron, for making our beach day so enjoyable. You truly made a difference!

I booked 3 nights with my two kids at the W for their spring break. We had requested an early check in but our room was not available until 330pm. Once we got into the room, we were so overwhelmed by the smell of mold we asked to switch rooms. We changed rooms 3 times and all of them had a terrible smell of mold. I am allergic and my kids are very sensitive so we immediately felt it in our throats. The staff was very helpful, understanding and accommodating but we had to switch to the AC Marriott because we could not spend the night in those conditions.

We have stayed at the W Fort Lauderdale a number of times and have always enjoyed our time here. It had been a few years since we were here last and sadly, this visit was disappointing. The hotel staff was great, when you could reach them, but the hotel itself seemed tired. Outlets/usb in the room not working, fridge didn’t work, lights out, musty smell, elevators slow, elevator lights not working, and the sound bar in the room broken as well. Reaching the front desk, housekeeping, or the valet service via the room phone led to an endless telephony loop that ultimately sent you to global reservations which was frustrating to say the least. Again, basic stuff but for an ocean view room at $650 a night, you’d expect things to work.

Absolutely not worth the money, and not a family hotel. The pool was overcrowded and most days we had to share 1 chair between the 4 of us. The bar staff aren't the friendliest of people either. And forget getting chairs or an umbrella on the beach if you get there after 9:30am - people are lining up by 830am. Also, they give your chairs/umbrella away if you're gone for 20-30 minutes, with no warning (I found out because we went to get lunch with the kids, and came right back to our spot given away, along with beach toys on the chair). Also, the rooms are a little odd, specifically the bathroom is an open design with no door, and the showers have see-thru glass doors, so there is no privacy with kids around.

We had a terrific time at the W the weekend of Tortuga Music Festival. Raul Lopez the hotel manager was amazing, so helpful and gratuitous upon check in and through out the stay. I highly recommend the hotel and Raul especially. I can’t wait to go back again!
