Fota Island Resort

Unfortunately Our check in was delayed by an hour because rooms weren’t ready. we had tasting menu in the cove restaurant, it was nice. One thing that let this place down was the cocktails,I’m sorry to say but they were really awful. Thomas at reception was lovely couldn’t have been more helpful. Spa area very nice. Overall enjoyed my stay but not 5*.

Our daughter got married o 30th Decembeer, 2024 and Fota Island Resort Hotel was where she and her husband Kevin, chose to have the reception. As mother and father of the bride we just want to say that the whole experience from the planning stage to the wedding day, to the departure date, everything was top class. The attentive staff when planning to the expertiese of their wedding co-ordinator and particularly the attention to detail by John Coleman, their Concierge , was beyone excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for John and he was on hand to answer all our questions, show us around the Wedding Venue and help us to improve the whole wedding experience. Thank you so much John. The hotel is so lovely, beautiful foyer, restaurant with great food, lovely comfortabe rooms with great bathrooms and all the extras. Not to mention their spectacular gardens for those great photos. The Wedding Venue is so special and so private that you feel your guests are the only people in the Hotel. The food was excellent and our daughter and her husband really enjoyed the pre-tasing experience, again which was handled with such professionalism. Anywasy overall the experience of our time in Fota Island Resort was one of joy and happiness, so Thank You to all concerned in making our daughters's wedding such a memorable one. We stayed in 4 bedroom lodge. 5 adults and 2 kids, 3yo and 1yo. Lodge was child friendly and had cot and highchair. Kids could be contained to downstairs area safely. House clean and well equipped with cooking utensils. Ground beautiful. We could book in to use the pool and sauna included in price. Dinner in the hotel was delicious. All the staff were amazing. The kids broke an item in the house and the staff were excellent about it when we contacted them. Very professional. Would definitely return. Minutes from the wildlife park too.

Great stay here on New Year’s Day, the Hotel was still beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations. The food was excellent and the staff couldn’t be any more friendly and welcoming. A great place to stay for anyone with a young family, can’t wait to come back again.

Loved it. True 5* luxury! Beautiful spotless rooms with lovely touches like wine and chocolates. Decor was stunning in hotel. So tastefully done with gorgeous Christmas displays. Food for dinner and breakfast was delicious! Staff very friendly and welcoming. Pool was lovely. Not cheap to stay but well worth every penny!
