Outstanding
This is an outstanding resort with something for everyone. Really friendly staff. The bedroom facilities are excellent with a great bathroom. We ate in the Amber restaurant which has a vast selection of food to suit all tastes and really attentive service. The spa is gorgeous with lovely relaxation rooms. I highly recommend a visit.

Nice but I wouldn’t rush back
Amazing staff but in need of an upgrade. The food at breakfast was amazing although the hot food came to the table cold. The dinner was overcooked. I didn’t eat my dinner at all. Nice hotel to visit but I am not sure it still deserves its 5 star rating. I have stayed in far nicer hotels.

Facilities and staff great. Food terrible
Staff and facilities are excellent. However I find food plays a central role in the success of my holiday. And this is where the hotel fails. As the weather was poor we choose to eat mainly in the hotel. Breakfast, narfood lunch and restaurant dinner were all sub standard. The quality of ingredients and standard of cooking led to tasteless rubbish. Really dissappointing as the menu's read ok. But failed to deliver in terms of taste and temperature.

10/10 this is the best family hotel in Ireland and it has now become our yearly family tradition. If your looking for a nice family break to unwind, then have some fun as a family and feel at home this is your hotel! A beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff from the moment you enter when you are greeted by the friendly concierge to the amazing staff in the Amber lounge and Fota Restaurant to the marvelous housekeeping staff upstairs. They are all so attentive, fantastic with kids and always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome.

PURE LUXURY
My husband and I are just home after a relaxing two nights at this wonderful resort. A lovely warm welcome from reception at arrival is always a good sign and the bedroom was luxurious and the bed very comfortable. We dined in the Amber lounge on the first night and the food was AMAZING! Sticky toffee pudding was the lightest I've ever tasted. We met Scott in the bar on his first night working there and he is going to be a great addition to the team, we were never left waiting for a drink while he was on duty over our two night stay. Such a lovely young man. We ate in the restaurant on our second night and we were looked after by Alex. He is was very attentive and friendly as were the young gentlemen who brought our meals. Absolutely excellent! Special mention to Anitia in the spa she is brilliant at what she does. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
