The Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch in Frankfurt, Germany embodies the enchanting elegance of a country manor. The tranquil atmosphere of a green oasis on lakefront property, complimented with first-class health and fitness facilities. All this just minutes from Frankfurt's city centre, airport, and trade fair.

I had a short stay here. The building is impressively situated in a park-like area, not far away from Frankfurt. The interiors are aged, but still look good, and they have a nice and large spa area. The hotel is in transition from another brand, and I had the impression that this is not handled well yet. My lake view room was on ground floor facing a hedge (behind that was the lake, I attach a photo). The park-like area seemed neglected and overgrown. There seemed to be no hhonors diamond status recognition, and the executive lounge was unmanned with dirty dishes piling up. The spa was great but the organization of the towel service seemed strange and very unconvenient. All in all, this still could be a great spa hotel close to Frankfurt, and I hope to come again when the service level has improved.

Always love staying here...very charming and close to airport but not too close. Benefits are clean workout/fitness, wonderful spa though it needs some replenishment, good food and service in general. My favorite part is the Cigar Lounge and the evening water and light show in the lake. The parking is not paved, but gravel stones and typically $10-15/night. Rooms are clean, large and I always get a room with a shower. Showers can sometimes smell a bit of mold/mildew since I think they are old, but quite functional. AirCon works well for Germany but not cold enough for worldwide standards. Breakfast is vast variety, but egg/omelet station needs to be completely revamped to modern standards. The one complaint......vegetarians are not respected at all.....many mixing of food items.....people touch meat, then touch veggies. I have stayed here 30 times in the past 4 years and it is unchanged per my comments above, but I still love it. Sometimes I don't eat the breakfast due to contamination but I still come back. If this place closes or new owners after October 2024 are not good, then I will switch back to Sheraton Airport (since they have a Davidoff Cigar Lounge).

Overall it is a great hotel in a beautifull location. We are coming here as a family for almost 20 years. The rooms are well sized and clean, so is their spa and facilities. However this time; maybe because the hotel is leaving the Kempinski group on September 31st; we noticed some indifference with the hotel staff. We had a booking category discussion with the reservation/checkin desk and were told three different stories as explanation, contradicting each other.

We needed a night stay near the airport following our river cruise. This hotel was excellent. Top quality and service at the price of a Holiday Inn Express or Marriot Courtyard. Top quality linens, large shower, and double sink. Wonderful breakfast buffet (not the carb loaded survival food in the US. Twenty minute 40 Euro with tip tax to FRA.

Everything was perfect, the room, breakfast, restaurant, personnel and the rest. Although we were there for the exhibition Automechanica which is very far, the transport means were so well organised that we had no problem at all by train and bus to downtown.
