Reviews for St. Clerans Manor House

Friendly small village setting.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed February 5, 2019

The food was good and the staff very friendly. It is set in a small village surrounded by farming country. It is a good stop off place to get a good night's sleep. It is not up to the modern standards of a city hotel but I would not expect this in a small country village.

At Anne's Guest House Mountbellew is a great place to stay when in Mountbellew. It's home away from home. The care I received over the years makes me come back every time. Looking forward to my next trip west

Friendly staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed April 18, 2016

We stayed two nights here recently and the staff were friendly. The building is quite old and you get what you pay for. - The bathroom is simple & does not have an extractor or heating, storage heater in the room was handy for heating bathroom. - Old style TV in the corner. - Car parking is either on the street which is safe or at the back. - A nice view of the lake is visible when you lean out the window. The choice of breakfast was either large / small fry or cornflakes (no crunchy nut). The breakfast room had a really nice open fire which was nice. - Not wheelchair friendly. - The Chinese next door is part of the B&B & the food is nice there.

Oh no...

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed April 20, 2015

Unfortunately stayed here, the building is very old and very big. It really needs to be updated and modernised. The family room was small with a tiny ensuite. The electric shower did not work properly and we thought it might blow up. The breakfast was okay but the cups were all very old and stained. The gentleman was very friendly. But for what it is and what we got it was very expensive.

Hospitality & Value Second to None!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed September 5, 2013

I am part organiser of a group with Travels through Mountbellew each September. We stop for breakfast in the morning and for a meal in the evening, and have done so for years. Every year the hospitality, friendliness level of service is exceptional. Food is always hot, delicious, and plentyful. Staff are always friendly helpfull and a pleasure to deal with. To top it all off the value to be had here is difficult to find anywhere. I would always reccomend a visit to St. Anne's, its not a 4 star hotel or anything but what they do, they do well.
