InterContinental Geneva

Great place, close to United Nations. There is a bus that stops at the door ,number 5, that takes you downtown, very easy. Staff super nice: Salome at the front desk! And Albert and Vincent, concierge’s desk, who went above and beyond to help my friend and me with sightseeing.

We stayed here with a Viking cruise. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is helpful and very friendly. The location is a 45 min walk to the areas we were interested in or a short Uber ride. There is a CoOp within a 5 min walk. Great grocery store with plenty of options. The rooms are standard for what you would expect with Intercontinental rooms. We did ask to have our room location changed because of the construction outside the window, we were not able to take a nap after a long bus travel morning. The noise was loud and I could not sleep. We were moved to a room on the other side of the hotel on a lower floor and without a view of the lake but at least I did not have the noise to keep me awake. Our friends were moved to a suite but when I questioned the category we were in, I was told that it was a mistake that both of their rooms were upgraded to suites free of charge and we would not be able to receive a suite. We were all traveling together, so I did not understand that situation but did not question the reception person. We are returning to this same hotel in a few days so I hope we have a better experience with our room.

This hotel, located in the diverse international area of Geneva, is a real treasure. The ambiance throughout the hotel is first class. The public areas, bars and restaurants are oh so classy without being "over the top". The rooms are outstanding, with all the amenities you would expect from a world class, international hotel. We found the staff to be extremely professional and helpful.

Excellent staff , always ready to help and pleasant and polite. The food was delicious. The hotel is comfortably away from the hustle and bustle of the waterfront and yet easy to access by local bus right outside the hotel which by the way was free and frequent to ride. We will return. Welcome was first class - the Hotel was fully explained and attention to detail was given. Hotel rooms are top rate with a high standard of cleanliness. Poolside prices are a bit high but still worth the luxury. Breakfast is out of this world and Sarah looked after us very well. Pool was a welcome relief on hot days and was a perfect base for Geneva. Free bus and tram travel thrown in was a brilliant bonus.
