Mandarin Oriental, Geneva

The hotel does not have seems to be ready to offer a breakfast that is in line with the Mandarin oriental brand. Service was substandard including unreasonable waiting time for coffee and a la carte dishes. in addition, the servers paid little attention to the guesses, making breakfast a very frustrating experience.

Stayed at the hotel following a ski trip in France, the hotel is in a great location close to the train station and 15mins from the airport close to all of the boutiques. Our room was spotless and fabulous size for the family, the staff were excellent we had a fantastic experience! Can’t not mention the food and bar facilities this was also great, my daughter especially loved breakfast. Will definately return to another MO hotel soon!

This wasn’t my first stay at this hotel, and it certainly won’t be my last! Every team member who assisted us during our stay was so thoughtful and attentive that we felt even better than at home. A special thank you to Lucas at reception for his valuable advice and kindness during check-in and check-out. The bar team made our evenings truly enjoyable, and the breakfast staff took such great care of us. What more could we ask for? Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great stay. Location is excellent - right near the water, within walking distance to Old Town, and less than a 10-minute walk to the main train station. There’s also a tram stop nearby. The service was impeccable. The staff were courteous, professional, and extremely helpful. We had an issue with SBB’s luggage shipping service, but when we called the hotel a week after leaving, they located our bags. They even followed up with an email once the luggage had been picked up, which was a great touch. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed, and very comfortable. Very luxurious. Breakfast was very good by European standards. It was included in our rate, and we could choose from a menu that offered cooked dishes, in addition to the breakfast buffet. The quality of the food was great, and it was a nice way to start the day. The main shortcoming was the restaurant. While the food itself was pretty good, the service was extremely slow—we had to ask multiple times for things. Bit of a let-down. Overall, great stay and highly recommended.

Excellent location and superb staff but rooms were cold in this weather. A place like MO and that too in Geneva standing next to Brit’s and Four seasons should have warm and cozy rooms and heating bathrooms - that’s least expected out of MO experience.
