About the Hotel

A landmark hotel in Scotland’s biggest, most vibrant city. Kimpton Blythswood Square has been a prestigious address since the early 19th century. Overlooking a private garden square, the hotel's Georgian townhouses were originally home to wealthy merchants and were later turned into the club headquarters for The Royal Scottish Automobile Club. Today, the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel has been spruced up for the 21st century, with a multi-million pound refurbishment that has refreshed all of the existing guest rooms and suites with an elegant new look and the launch of the 1,900 sq. feet two-bedroom Penthouse Suite with its own private balcony, media room and dining area. The Hotel also hosts a 10,000 sq. ft. Spa facility with 9 luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite, 2 relaxation pools, and a lounge and café area.

Amazing Hotel

What a beautiful place. Had an overnight stay with my husband. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are fantastic. We had a premium room, which was excellent. Plenty of room, juice, and snacks provided. The bathroom was stunning with a shower and bath with lovely toiletries. The spa is fantastic we both just loved it. We spent 2 hours relaxing in the spa. Will definitely return again.

Probably the best hotel in Glasgow city centre...

I've stayed at the Blythswood a few times over the past couple of years, but I've got to call out last night's stay. I don't know whether there is new management or staff have all gone on a customer services course, but every single interaction with the hotel team was first class. From taking my suitcase and checking me in from the label whilst I was on an important work call, to changing my room, to the enthusiastic and speedy chap at breakfast, everyone was superb. The rooms are excellent, the location is great and the food in the restaurant was first class. This surely has to be the best hotel in Glasgow city centre?

This stay has been nothing short of a disappointment, with service and hygiene standards falling far below what one woul

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The level of service here is completely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. First of all, cleaners tend to leave their items behind after cleaning – completely careless and unprofessional. Cleaning itself is ridiculously slow; we leave the room around 9 AM, and when we return at 3 PM to rest, the room is still not cleaned. How is this acceptable for a hotel of this standard? The reception staff rarely answer the phone, which is baffling. To make matters worse, the baby crib’s sheet wasn’t even changed—it was smelly and showed clear signs of prior use. That is completely unhygienic, especially when it involves a baby! The room was dusty to the point that it triggered my dust allergy within a single day, and I’ve been suffering for five days now. I have low immunity and severe dust sensitivity, so when I say the room was dusty, I mean it. To top it off, I’ve attached a photo of cleaning equipment left next to my bathtub. Imagine if a child had started playing with it? Does anyone even think about safety here? This is beyond disappointing and absolutely does not reflect a 5-star experience.

A relaxing stay, can’t wait to come back .

My husband and I stayed for our wedding anniversary and it was made special by the staff who made us so welcome and we had a relaxing night to remember. Special mention to Ivo, Kara, Jennifer and Kirsty at reception. The room was so clean and comfortable, the spa which has been refurbished recently is amazing and we can’t wait to come back and celebrate my 40th later in the year.

We stayed for our ten year wedding anniversary; the hotel was great value for money, great location, breakfast was well presented, staff very accommodating. Hotel facilities whilst we didn’t get the opportunity to use the spa facilities through our own choice. Were tremendous, well kept and well presented residents bar / restaurant. The hotel was very clean grand entrance was stunning. I would highly recommend this hotel, and we will definitely be back.
