A landmark hotel in Scotland’s biggest, most vibrant city. Kimpton Blythswood Square has been a prestigious address since the early 19th century. Overlooking a private garden square, the hotel's Georgian townhouses were originally home to wealthy merchants and were later turned into the club headquarters for The Royal Scottish Automobile Club. Today, the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel has been spruced up for the 21st century, with a multi-million pound refurbishment that has refreshed all of the existing guest rooms and suites with an elegant new look and the launch of the 1,900 sq. feet two-bedroom Penthouse Suite with its own private balcony, media room and dining area. The Hotel also hosts a 10,000 sq. ft. Spa facility with 9 luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite, 2 relaxation pools, and a lounge and café area.

Our short time here was just okish and for a so called 5 star hotel we expected it to be so much better. We have stayed in budget hotels where we slept better, received better service and had a lovely breakfast in comparison with the Blythswood. Sleep quality is not helped by the loud noise of the loud car racers that drive around outside through the night. Breakfast was a massive let down for us. Basic buffet items that are not the hottest with a very very small Ala carte offering. The service at breakfast was downright poor with drinks orders taking forever, no toast served and food order taken incorrectly. In our opinion the hotel should focus on the basics of service and perhaps drop their prices per night based on what they offer.

Ian went above and beyond to get the all the non-feather pillows that we had requested on the reservation. He is so great and the service here is completely outstanding! The hotel is beautiful and in such a beautiful location. We are really enjoying our stay and loving Glasgow!

Not impressed at all with what we received for a relatively large nightly rate. Service we felt was not great and we witnessed many service shortfalls during our time here. Trying to contact reception from your room is very much hit or miss—we tried to order room service and simply could not get through either. We also felt that the hotel was not catered towards families in particular—kids not allowed in the pool, guests hanging around the lobby drinking free wine, the noise in the restaurant and bar area was extremely loud and overbearing. Food at breakfast again not top level considering again the high cost to stay at this hotel. Maybe just not for us but we spoke with other guests who shared our opinion.

Stayed at this hotel last week for a concert at the OVO. Arrival not great as the 2 door men watched us struggle up the stairs to reception with our luggage. Check in process ok but not the most friendly. Our room for £500 was probably the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in. We then (once again with luggage) went to our room whilst passing at least 10 dirty food trays littering the hotel coridoors. On arrival the door to the room was simply filthy. We opened the door and were met with wallpaper hanging off the walls, cables hanging down from the smallest TV we have ever seen in a hotel room and just a general bad smell. We called reception twice to request a change of room and each time was a somewhat rude NO! as an answer to our desperate appeals. Restaurant is ok but we spent £160 on 2 steaks, a fish and chips and 2 small red wines--was it worth the money--absolutely not--did we think that the additional 12.5% service charge was merited--absolutely not. We would love to tell you how breakfast was but we decided to check out that same evening due to the extremly rude manner of the duty manager, the complete breakdown of any service levels and the state of the room assigned. Our advice is to avoid as there are far far better hotels nearby who actaully offer value for money and a service level!

Arrival perfect. Warm welcome. Valet parking. Room adequate, newly refubished. Window all tthe way to the floor, but view of abandoned offices across. Slight hiccup on day 2. No nespresso cups replaced. After the (second) call to reception this was corrected. Turned in some laundry on saturday mornig, but nothong was returned that day. After mentioning this to reception there was a knock on the door after 10 pm and a man smelling heavily of tobacco entered the room (we were not dressed) to check all our cupboards to see if the laundry was there… It was not, Laundry arrived on sunday, which was fine. Cocktail bar was good. Breakfast was wonderful Checkout impeccable. Great location.
