Castle Leslie Estate

We had an absolutely fantastic lunch in Castle Leslie recently. The food was better than first class and the staff genuinely wanted guests to enjoy their meal. The surroundings are immaculate and the gardens are well-kept and accessible to walk around. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and would highly recommend Castle Leslie.

Everything about this property was amazing! The grounds, the food, our room, horse facilities… we loved it all! Can’t wait to come back! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of one of the employees at reception. I have come to depend on the Irish as being the friendliest people in Europe, if not the world. Caroline, however, was cold at best. Every time I had a question it felt like she was annoyed, and not once did she smile in greeting. Anywhere else, this would not have been noticed, but contrasted with the warmth of the rest of the staff, her coldness left me wondering if I had done something to offend her.

We attended a charity night last night in the Castle-it was beyond exceptional. The warm reception welcome -we were greeted by the fabulous staff & the canapés were delicious. Sincere thanks to Mr Kevin Kenny & his team in organising such a wonderful event for such a worthy cause. Chef Aaron Duffy treated us all to such a display of culinary delights! The samples were top notch!!! Please convey our sincere thanks to management & staff of Castle Leslie. 5 Star experience-certainly the best hotel in Ireland. Congratulations.

We stayed 2 nights and it was incredible and relaxing from start to finish. The staff were excellent and never needed to ask they were always there and with fine dining beyond Michelin star level in Snaffles and the same quality food and service in Conor's Bar you cannot have a bad experience. The castle and grounds are amazing and the tour brought the castle alive in stories from the past. The Spa was amazing too but we did not even get a chance to sample the other areas, such as equestrian, so definitely will have to return again. Definitely will lean toward the Lodge as the Castle would be nice for an event but the Lodge handy as restaurants and spa are all together along with a nice bar area for a drink.

Every last detail of this place was thought of and perfectly executed! It is an exquisite stay but without snootiness or feeling over-classed. Every single person we encountered was delightful and kind, even the Custodian, Sammy Leslie! I went for a riding vacation and it was my #1 bucket list item and of course there was apprehension that it wouldn’t meet my longstanding dreams. It didn’t. It exceeded them in every way. Gorgeous everything! The most immaculate stables I’ve ever been through, FAN-TAS-TIC horses and trainers, and the grounds were out of a fairytale. I’ll be back! I thought this trip would be one-and-done but I have to come back here! I love this place! Food, rooms, estate, stables, estate grounds- just amazing. Sammy’s hit the nail on the head: great horses, good food and old-style hospitality.
