For long, the Leela Goa was one of the best resorts in Goa. And I must say that after Marriott took over the property with the St. Regis brand, things have only got better. This would easily be one of the best in Goa, and is very highly recommended. First and foremost, a clear standout is the stupendous service quality. The entire team ensures that the experience is exemplary, and the connect is consistent right from pre-check in to check-out. Nungshilila or Lila, our butler, was super helpful throughout and so were the whole team across the resort. This includes the buggy staff as also the staff who managed the gardens and the paths - they always had a smile and a greeting. The property is located on Mobor beach, a little further south from Cavellosim, and about an hour away from Dabolim. The resort spreads across 47 acres and has one of the cleanest beaches in Goa. It is definitely one of the most beautiful resorts in India, with its vast greens, combined with the lagoons plush with the pink water lilies. There was a wedding on the premises during the initial part of our stay, and two things stood out - one, the whole event was planned such that the other guests had minimal inconveniences, and two, the visual splendour of the whole event within the resort. Certainly got us thinking of wanting to get married again. We stayed initially in the Conservatory premier room and then in the Manor Suite. Lila ensured that we got an upgrade onto the Manor immediately after the wedding party had moved out. The Suite was of course royal, and large, and old school (in a nice way). The Manor suites offer much better privacy, and guests staying there also have access to a private restaurant there. In fact, there's also a separate pool there which is in the process of being renovated. Some suites also have access to their own private pools. The Conservatory Premier rooms are rhe more recently done up rooms, and overlook the lagoon and the Serenity Island. The room was fairly large, and comfortable. The food across the property was splendid. We had a fantastic time at Miri (the multi-cuisine restaurant), Susegado (Grills and Coastal cuisine), Oliveto (Italian) and Riverside (Asian), where the food and the service were excellent. The Housekeeping was also excellent throughout. A special call out to Abhishek, Rene, Jovita, Leela, Swapnil, Abhishek, Utsav, Mang, Dhwani, the team at the Food truck by the pool for ensuring that the times we spent were simply exemplary. Joshna, prabhavati and the team at the Children's play area ensured that the kids had a grand time. The activities were diverse and well managed throughout. The beach was the place to be for the morning runs, and we would highly recommend a walk/run to the estuary where the river meets the sea. It is very beautiful, especially in the early mornings and evenings. The sabering ceremony at the beach was ever so perfectly managed in true St Regis tradition. There were quite a variety of birds around the property, so do get the cameras along. This is one part of Goa that is a must visit and we would certainly like to come back soon.

This was our 4th time at St. Regis, Goa and it was a wonderful experience as always..... You can't get enough of this property. Everything is great.... The scenic views, the food, the amenities, the close proximity to the beach and the most friendly and helpful staff are just a few features of this property. Their Butler service was very good. Special thanks to our Butler Abhijit for always being there and making our stay even more enjoyable and comfortable.

Stayed here after coming from the Oberoi Jaipur with my family. Oberoi - AMAZING…. St. Regis Goa - TERRIBLE! If you have ever stayed at any other St Regis or other nice resort, you are going to be disappointed! The place is dump with exception of the Italian restaurant, that must be new. The place used to be a Leela Brand property and you can tell it’s not a true St Regis property. There was a wedding taking place for locals and it is immediately clear, those people were not used to staying in a nice resort. The focus was on the wedding guests, so no chance of upgrades, regardless of status. Wait times for a buggy - ridiculous and the minute we got on (5 of us) a local family would all try to pile on, with the driver saying nothing. It was like being on a rickshaw in Dheli! Then there was the smoking and vapping, on the beach, in the restaurants and at the pool. Which is interesting as Marriott claims to be a “smoke free” property. Not fun when we have our young kids breathing in all the cigarette smoke. Plus it’s hot and humid and gross to have to inhale that when having dinner inside the hotel restaurant. Clearly the staff saw but didn’t say anything to those guests. - I get we are in India, but this isn’t the Holiday in, which shares the same property as the St Regis (no one ever mentions). The place is extremely dated, the rooms are literally falling apart both inside and out! We stayed in the larger bedroom with Den and 2 full baths, there was a literal hole in our flooring! The floors are a fake wood that has clearly not held up over time. Also, lots of mosquitos, it is on a lagoon and it feels buggy the minute you arrive. With so many employees on site you think things would be more efficient but they are not. Everyone speaks English but they clearly do not understand what they are saying. Drinks never arrive, be prepared to ask multiple time both poolside and in the restaurants. We booked a private yoga, instructor failed to arrive on time. The kids went to a magic show with only to learn it has been canceled with nothing else in its place. My advice, avoid this place. I know there are not a lot of alternatives in the area but maybe just go someplace else? I know we will never come back to Goa unless a true luxury resort opens. Maybe Oberoi will open in the area on day?
