Reviews for The Leela Goa

Just go! Ask for Sunny -the best butler!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Gorgeous location and fantastic service. Our butler, Sunny, was exceptional and made sure our stay was amazing. Sunny was on top of everything and just a text message away, any time of the day, to make sure our vacation was nothing less than perfect. He organized our spa appointments, transportation, restaurant reservations, tour to the herb garden, laundry pickup, and anything else we needed in our villa. The resort itself is huge and by the beach, surrounded by lush greenery; peaceful and relaxing. We loved our stay so much, we decided to extend our vacation and stay longer. Willy was awesome and helped us coordinate the extension and modification to the other reservation we had at a different hotel. Sunny helped us move our rooms in a smooth and well organized way. Both the villa and the suite we stayed in were very spacious, well appointed and comfortable. When we arrived, we were greeted by a delicious welcome gift in celebration of our anniversary. The Susegado restaurant was outstanding. The whole experience of watching the sunset on the beach, with your feet in the sand, listening to the sound of the waves, while eating the most delicious and freshest seafood (the grilled pomfret and tiger prawns in chimichurri sauce - just wow!) while chatting with the friendly waitress Anya was one of the highlights of our stay. The champagne sabering ceremony on the beach at sunset lead by smiling and energetic Saheli was also super special and is a must see. Another pleasant surprise was the nature/ herb garden walk with Haresh. He’s such a great story teller and his knowledge of the medicinal plants and herbs is impressive! The freshly picked coconuts were so refreshing! You do have to watch out for mosquitos though, but the resort provides a natural spray that is very effective against bugs. We had breakfast at the buffet and at the restaurant by the villas. Both places offered food that was delicious, fresh, and well prepared. The buffet needs to figure out a better system for taking and delivering coffee and dosa orders as this part was a bit chaotic. For example, when I asked one of the waiters for coffee, and the coffee was not coming, I asked another person and then again followed up with a third person on my initial order; I ended up getting 3 cups of coffee. I love coffee and didn’t mind but still, I could see people annoyed by delays in their orders and by waiters clearing out the plates too fast when people weren’t done eating. The laundry team was excellent- I got my clothes washed and ironed in the matter of just a few hours. For the level of services provided, this resort offers an excellent value. We are definitely looking forward to our next stay.

Paradise on eath

We had 9 nights of wonderful relaxing time at the St Regis. Every single person who works there is smiling and helpful, from the people who tend to all the plants and greenery around the huge property to all the senior managers. We had booked full board and the buffet offerings at the Miri are amazing especially the desserts! So many delicious looking desserts and pastries and most of them pure vegetarian ( egg free ) chef Santosh also made us what ever we desired. We asked for bajra roti with baighan bharta and the Manager, Rijol, ensured that his staff went out of their way to source bajra flour for us. I was overwhelmed with this excellent service. We also enjoyed the magnificent spread of food at the Sunday brunch. Special shout out to our waiters Mahesh and Suraj and our friendly and kind butler Yash. Our housekeeping staff, Moon, Melvin and Priya surprised us each day with their creative skills with towels and flowers! We also enjoyed 6 days of massage at the SPA and were left feeling relaxed. Dr Girish curated a special massage package to help my husband with his knee pain. Well done to the whole team who work there! The resort is very tropical with statues of Ganesh, Shiva and Radha Krishna and various ponds full of pink lilies. The resort is also full of lots of fruit and herbs and we enjoyed the guided nature walk and the kind man (Sorry forgot the name) who took us around and ended our tour with fresh coconut juice! Thank you so much. The beach is soft and powdery and stretches out wide and long and the sea is blue and beautiful. We enjoyed sitting under a parasol with the gentle breeze blowing. We also enjoyed the use of the pool with canopy beds. There are yoga sessions run each day in the mornings and 6pm champagne sabering sessions on the beach. It was pure paradise on earth. We will definitely return again.

Wow! Paradise!

We stayed for 3 weeks and didn’t want to leave! Breakfast was superb with Miriam and her colleagues welcoming us every morning. The choice was superb and service was very good, although sometimes refills of tea and coffee could be tardy. A special thanks to Romen who looked after us so well. The grounds are stunning and what a pleasure to be greeted by every staff member with a smile and a hello. The lady gardeners are stars! So much better than noisy leaf blowers but hard work in the heat! Judith the assistant manager was so helpful and efficient- we really appreciated her assistance. We ate at the beach shacks - notably Mike’s and Pearls. We so enjoyed our stay we rebooked for 2027 before we left for the UK!

Wonderful Stay in Goa – Exceptional Service from Saheli

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We had a beautiful stay at this resort in Goa and truly enjoyed every moment. The property itself is peaceful, well maintained, and perfectly located for a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere made it easy to slow down and fully enjoy the experience. What made our stay especially memorable was the incredible service. Saheli took such great care of us throughout our time at the resort. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, always making sure we had everything we needed and offering helpful suggestions along the way. Her kindness and professionalism really stood out and made us feel very welcomed. It’s the people who create the experience, and Saheli absolutely elevated ours. We’re so grateful for the care and hospitality we received. We would happily recommend this resort to anyone visiting Goa and would love to return again in the future.

Our stay at the St Regis was absolutely fantastic in every way and without having to list all the reasons I’ll sum it up in a few words. Within 24 hours of returning home we booked to go next year. Nothing more to say
