Beautiful hotel but BE WARNED

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The rooms were nicely designed with ample space and felt very clean and new. The hotel lobby/first floor was bustling day and night with guests and locals. They had live piano music and a constant fire in the huge fireplace. Downside: limited, expensive drinks on the main floor, and someone should tell the guests PAYING to stay at the hotel that they need a reservation for breakfast! We spent a LOT of money at this hotel and couldn't even get breakfast. (none within walking distance) The three (teen? young 20?) hostesses could care less. We were sent to the front desk, then to room service, then back to the front desk (who finally compted us for our breakfast because of the hassle). It would have been easier if they just told us about making a reservation upon check in.

Visit but don’t stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

It’s a great hotel, no complaints at all . Because every space is open to the public you’re better off booking someplace cheaper and just coming over to enjoy the amenities. Very crowded. No benefit to actually staying there but great to visit.

Holiday Market The Midnight Post and the Postbox Clock

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Today I went to the Holiday Market just outside the hotel. You can sit on Santa's lap and put your letter in his mailbox, but my favorite part by far was the Midnight Post and the Postbox Clock booth. Illustrator and author Sarah Dean (and her husband Matthew) are very talented, sweet people. You must check out the book and pictures they are selling there.

Time with friends by the falls

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

After spending a few days in Nashville at a less than stellar but similarly priced hotel, we checked in to The Grand Bohemian in Greenville, SC. What a treat! I booked the room 13 which is down low close to the falls with an amazing balcony overlooking g the falls and park and subtle statues placed around the property. This room is absolutely beautiful, welcoming and warm with a dining area and full size refrigerator, microwave and coffee bar, a movie room with two plush lounge sofas and fur/velvet blankets that feel like they may be a bit weighted. There is a living room with a comfortable sofa and large tv to watch your favorite games or stream a movie. A full bath and a 1/2 bath for guests, we entertained a few friends for a private dinner and drinks in our room. The service from check in to check out has been exactly what I love about Greenville and wish Nashville could duplicate. Kind, welcoming, thoughtful, warm people who make you feel like you are staying at your rich cousins giant home. Every detail in this hotel deserves special mention. The buffalo head coins in the elevators with the textured walls, the crystals around the property, the art, the carpeting…simply beautiful. E
