Celebrated for its wild natural beauty, Ecuador is also a place of refined urban delights. In its southwest corner, you will find the vibrant port of Guayaquil, gateway to the Galapagos Islands and home to the sophisticated Oro Verde Hotel Guayaquil. With its prime downtown location, this urban escape pampers guests with tasteful modern décor, the Oro-Fit Spa, a lively casino and bevy of restaurants, including El Patio, providing a tantalizing journey through Ecuadorian gastronomy.

Lovely hotel well situated close to the airport in Quayaquil. The staff couldn’t be friendlier or more accommodating. The rooms are clean and beds are extremely comfortable. Room service was wonderful and quick. Recommend the chaufa!! The breakfast is extraordinary with everything you could think of offered. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing experience staying at this hotel! Alexander at check-in was very friendly and professional. She took care of us very quickly and easily with a beautiful smile every time. Roddy the bellman was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread each day was fit for a king or queen, everything fresh and well laid out with many choices. Byron Y who served a beautifully cooked dinner was so friendly and made us feel very welcomed even though our Spanish was limited. Everyone at this hotel couldn’t do enough for us and they all made you feel like nothing was too much for them to do for us. Absolutely LOVED this hotel, amenities and the staff. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay there again!!!

This was the first hotel we stayed at on our National Geographic/Lindblad expedition to the Galapagos Islands. The Oro Verde was luxurious and seemed like an oasis in the city of Guayaquil. The pool is small, but warm and Instagram-worthy. I enjoyed the workout room for stretching, treadmill, and showers. The cafe is affordable and has many delicious pastries. The gift shop is small, but I saw some items in there that I didn't see later in my travels. Our room was huge and the rain shower in a deep tub was magnificent...I'm not sure I've ever experienced such water pressure before! We ordered room service, so we didn't experience the restaurants, but I heard from fellow travellers that the Swiss fondue restaurant was very good.
