JA Manafaru

Location. Location. Location. I chose this place because it was a far from Male as I could get. I was not disappointed. This resort took first place a few years ago, and there’s a good reason - pristine beaches and water. We stayed in three resorts on our trip, and this one was by far the best, including best food.

This was the trip of a lifetime for us and met every expectation and more. The setting was just beautiful. Our stunning, spacious over water villa with private infinity pool was incredible, very luxurious with everything you needed. Good privacy and we loved the glass bottom lounge and ability to snorkel around the coral directly from our villa and see the incredible sealife there. The staff and service were also incredible, friendly, welcoming staff who couldn't do enough for you. Amazing choice of restaurants in the all-inclusive dine around option, with fabulous, fresh food. Great public areas, including the infinity pool and more decorative garden pool. I loved that we had bikes with our villas to in order to cycle around the small island too, though also loved that we could walk around by barefoot too. Having an allocated host to oversee our whole stay was a really nice touch and made the whole trip seamless and relaxing. Couldn't fault anything and we'd come back in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Fantastic holiday, just what we had hoped for. Beautiful location, fantastic service. Our sunset watervilla was amazing. The staff were all incredible and a special thanks to our villa host Nishan and Suhaad and Shaamd who looked after us at the restaurant. We hope we are able to return soon.

We were looking for "barefoot luxury" and JA Manafaru absolutely delivered here. We had the most amazing ten days here, with the most perfect weather, with spectacular staff, fabulous food and our beach villa can only be described as perfect in every way. Let me quantify this .. We are in our 50s, well travelled, with high expectations, with a real love for great food and beautiful places, but we really wanted somewhere where we didn't have to get dressed up for dinner ( unless we wanted to!!!) or be worried about how we looked around the pool or the island!! Relaxed, paradise island vibe with a hint of robinson crusoe island, but with an anmazing chef and someone to clean the camp!! The staff here are the kindest, friendliest and most efficient and professional we have experienced anywhere ever before. Absolutely every detail was taken care of and they simply went above and beyond every day in every way. They listened and remembered and made us feel incredibly welcome and special throughout our stay. Nishan was our Thakuru and he was exceptional .. even finding a way for us to watch the rugby and finding me a pair of tweezers!!! Bless him, simply the best! The food was fabulous, nothing like your bare feet in the sand whilst eating the freshest, local fish cooked to perfection. There is a good variety too. We had a special night in The Cellar, which was exceptional and highly recommended, even though it does incur a charge above the all inclusive rate. Well worth it!! We absolutely loved our time here, perfect relaxation for us. We are hoping to bring our grown up family for a special trip at the same time next year. We had the most amazing time at JA Manafaru! From the moment we arrived, everyone was so warm and welcoming and we were immediately treated like family. Our Thakaru, Ghani, was amazing and helped us with everything from scheduling massages to making dinner reservations and so much more. We had a commitment ceremony there and everyone came together to make sure everything went perfect and we felt so special. I can’t say enough good things about the amazing staff. On top of that, JA Manafaru is the most beautiful place I have ever been to hands down. The tropical landscaping and clear blue water look straight from a movie! There are so many staff that made us feel special and felt went above and beyond. Among some are Abdho Ghani, Imran, Martina, Ashraf, Rosa, Yatte, Raphael, Kachey, Vipan, Suhaadh, Shehan and the amazing photographer Nazim. They all deserve special recognition, they were so amazing for our entire 10 day stay. Not only did they remember our names, they remembered our villa number, and our preferred drinks and food choices as well. The free floating breakfast after our ceremony was a wonderful surprise, also the amazing bed decorations upon arrival, departure and after our ceremony were a beautiful touch. We mentioned wanting to try a coconut drink and miraculously 2 appeared in our room the following day (thanks Martina and Ghani) The food was some of the best we’ve ever had! The breakfast was so delicious every day at Kakuni, so many fresh juices and the staff are happy to make you a delicious coffee. Andiamo was our favorite lunch spot (I love Italian food) and had some amazing drinks and views. We loved White Orchid and Ocean Grill for dinner, the Cape Grimm steaks were some of the tenderest I have ever had. And of course the seafood was all incredibly fresh and delicious. The drinks from every bar and restaurant were carefully crafted, fresh and delicious! I don’t think we could have had a better experience, truly!
