JA Manafaru

My trip to JA Manafaru far exceeded my expectations, making it well worth the journey to this breathtaking island, even though it’s not the nearest resort. My host, Linda, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was truly unforgettable. Her exceptional service added a personal and thoughtful touch that made the experience extraordinary. I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the restaurant staff, Soodh and Jason, for their remarkable hospitality. Their warm and attentive service made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The overall service at JA Manafaru was impeccable—from seamless transfers to exceptional dining and engaging activities. Every detail was meticulously handled to enhance the experience. The dolphin trip, in particular, was a highlight of my stay—an unforgettable adventure and an absolute must-do! Thank you to the entire team at JA Manafaru for creating such a memorable and delightful stay.

We went here for our honeymoon and it ended up being the most perfect resort. My partner and I could not have complained about anything. The attention to detail by the staff was mind blowing - from the service upon our international flight landing all the way to the checking in for our departure flight. The service was at a high standard, no matter what. Our thakuru (butler) was Mangal, and he did an incredible job. He drove us around on a golf cart, he booked in experiences and dinners for us and was always making sure we were happy and comfortable. We were overwhelmed with his kindness and care for us. We are huge foodies and loved the vast selection of food options at JA Manafaru. The teppanyaki was a particular stand out dinner for us. The yellow fin tuna was unreal - don't skip on ordering any dish with it! There was not a single meal that was less than fantastic. During all meals across all restaurants, the service was excellent. The drinks selection was fabulous, and we loved the resorts selection of cocktails alongside the classics. We were on the all inclusive package which we highly recommend. It included all the cocktails, beers and the vast majority of spirits (there were a few that were a couple dollars extra). We were covered for breakfast, 2-course lunch and 3-course dinner every day. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of every meal, it was great! We booked the sunset water villa and were so glad that we did. We overlooked a reef (which we snorkelled and saw dolphins, sea turtles and reef sharks). The infinity pool was beautiful as it overlooked the ocean. Almost every day, we saw dolphins swim past us morning and evening. It was incredible. The A/C in the room was perfect and allowed us to sleep well and comfortably. The housekeeping crew did a fabulous job at maintaining the villa. Getting around the island was super easy. Bikes were supplied at the villa, everything was a walkable distance too if you desired or our thakuru drove us on the golf buggy. The island was beautifully maintained by staff and was kept in immaculate condition. We also had the heart of the house tour and were given insight into how the island is power and how food is supplied- all sustainably! Highly recommend (and it's free). As mentioned earlier, we snorkelled a lot. This island is perfect if that is what you are into. The house reef is packed full of beautiful coral and sea life. Coming from living in a place that has beautiful beaches and snorkelling spots, we weren't sure how they'd compare, but we were in awe! Totally recommend! Overall - we can't wait to come back! We are people who love to go do stuff and this island had so many different options that we were never bored and can't wait to come back to try everything we didn't get a chance to. The high standard that the resort maintains is unreal and well worth the price. This place is an absolute steal and we cannot recommend it enough!

We had a wonderful stay at JA Manafaru that was entirely a result of the excellent staff. Right from the time we were met at the airport to the time that we were dropped off, every person we interacted with took that extra step to ensure that we had a memorable stay. There are too many people to call out but I did want to acknowledge Aan, Imran, Ziyaad and Nizaam. Thank you from all four of us for the smiles, the chats and the attention you gave us. Food was good… options were limited in terms of Indian cuisine and it took us some time to realize that we could simply order off the menu and the kitchen team will do their best to cook up the dish for us. The house reef and the number of sea life that we saw around the island was considerably less than some of the other properties we’ve stayed at Maldives. Outside of that, it is a beautiful location that is made even better by the staff!

This island is amazing. We stayed there for 8 nights in a sunset overwater bungalow. We went scuba diving 6 days, 2 tank dives each trip, we enjoyed each and every dive, such beauty and a large variety of marine life including sharks, rays, lobsters, etc. Looking forward to diving there again someday. Our guide Summer did an excellent job. One day we did the deep sea fishing and caught 2 Wahoo, almost landed a large tuna and had a sailfish on for a minute or two, it was a great trip and a lot of fun. They even cooked some of our Wahoo that night for dinner. We also did the Jet Ski Safari, was a lot of fun snorkeling, went to a deserted island and got very close to some dolphins, it was a great time. We had dinner one night in the Cellar, it was a great meal and beautiful venue. The food was really good at all the restaurants. The staff from housekeeping, waiters, waitresses and hostess were all amazing and extremely polite, they catered to all your requests. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. I wish I could rate Ja Manafaru higher than five stars, it was the best vacation my wife and I ever had, we could have stayed there forever.

I don’t even know where to start! But I can say that this was the best holiday we ever had. Mohammed our host was simply amazing, attention to details made our stay simply perfect. We are glad to all the staff - you are simply amazing. Thank you so much for looking after us so well.
