Fabulous location in the heart of Hanoi. The architecture of the hotel and all of its furnishing and art work are incredible. The rooms are very well laid out and we especially enjoyed our room with the separate sitting area and bar. We ate at the Koki and the roof top bar. At the roof top bar my wife enjoyed her martini on the rocks, but what made it especially noteworthy was one large cube was placed into her drink and they branded the ice cube with their logo. We also enjoyed spending happy hour in the living room being entertained by a singer, a few musicians and a wonderful martini prior to dinner. The people that worked here were so friendly, attentive and helpful. Truly a five star experience.

A first class hotel, beautiful rooms, excellent food and exceptional staff. It was a perfect experience from beginning to end. This is a very nice boutique hotel at a great location. It is enjoyable and easy to walk around the neighborhood.

Absolutely fantastic! Wonderful, elegant, art-deco hotel with superb, friendly and helpful staff. Rates among the finest first-class hotels for any country. We particularly enjoyed the jazz trio each afternoon/evening. I can’t say enough nice things about it.

We stayed 5 nights at the Capella Hanoi in a Deluxe Suite. The hotel is located central for all key attractions - Opera House, Old Quarter, French Quarter - all the key areas for Hanoi visitors are readily walkable. The hotel is immaculately clean and very beautiful: greenery and flowers, artwork, plush seating arrangements, pleasant lighting - even the air inside is subtly scented by fresh flowers and puts guests at ease immediately. The staff, from the chauffeur who picked us up at the airport to the porters, receptionists, the Culturist team, maids, waiters, spa therapists - everybody we encountered was a consummate professional and not merely someone working in a hotel. It was clear that people took pride in working for arguably one of the very best hotels in Vietnam and showcasing high-end Vietnamese hospitality at its very finest. People were warm, friendly, very efficient and above all competent - it is clear that for Capella Hanoi staff, no query is too difficult to consider. The Auriga Spa area is beautiful and an oasis of calm - I recommend especially booking yourself the thermal suite with steam room, sauna and cold plunge pool. You can book it for 30 minutes at a time and it's completely private - no sharing with anyone else. It was fantastic and the plunge pool is invigorating. We also booked tickets for the water puppet show through the hotel and they got us some of the best seats in the house (front row, unobstructed view, no need to wait in line, just pick up your tickets from a helpful gentleman next to the booking desk). A day trip to Ha Long Bay was likewise great - our boat was private and the guide extremely knowledgeable about Vietnam's history, customs, dos and don'ts - please remember to bring cash to tip the boat crew, driver and guide. While tipping is not customary in Vietnam and not normally expected, people working as guides, drivers or entertaining tourists on small boats don't make a lot of money and getting a little extra for their exceptional service makes a big difference to their families. We also had a tea ceremony at Koki, where we were guided through three types of Japanese teas, preparation methods and the vast differences in taste that can be achieved through different brewing methods, temperatures and of course the skill of the tea master. I could go on about how great it was - there is really nothing I could criticise, even if I tried, it genuinely was excellent.
