Capella Hanoi

Beautiful Hotel in HaNoi, rooms are spacious, neat and with a top service. The best Concierge service, all was well coordinated, recommendations were excellent. Can't say enough on how great we felt all the time. Since you get out of the car, you feel welcomed.

The art-deco jazz period theme is a feature of an astonishing hotel. Every minute detail has been thought of. Each room has its own persona with many unusual touches. There is daily complimentary tea, coffee and cakes in the afternoon and cocktails with a jazz trio in the early evening. Varied highly rated restaurants and a wonderful breakfast variety. The gym/indoor pool and spa area are also a feature. As might be expected the staff are constantly trying to be helpful. The hotel is a contrast to traditional Vietnam but worth a visit. Also in a quiet but convenient area.

After having such a wonderful experience at the Capella Sydney, we changed our reservations last minute to stay at their hotel in Hanoi despite my misgivings about the garish Bill Bensley design (I really hope in the next refresh they are able to remove 80% of the stuff and leave the opulence for the spa and other surprise moments…do I really need a picture of a dead artist that looks like Ho Chi Minh staring at me above the toilet?). All that being said the excellent service and great guest programming helped to make our stay comfortable despite all the frippery. Capella does such a great job of learning all about you to cater to your needs and personality without being too big brother. Location is outstanding but street side rooms have horrible sound and air proofing and for their exorbitant price one deserves the silence of a bunker, or at least deluxe earplugs with those complementary eye masks? (hence the 4 stars). Also in trying to create a sense of abundance the breakfast buffet does a lot of stuff too preciously and not so memorably. I was hoping for a few better executed signature items like their Banh Mi. The fruit offerings are surprisingly stingy for a country with such a rich abundance. Being in the French Quarter I was hoping to have one of the best croissants of my life. In a luxury hotel it’s this little stuff that goes a long way towards making a lasting impression.

Very impressive. Capella was of the best and most beautiful 5 star hotels, the food, the service, the staff - all was incredible. The restaurants are amazing and you can't beat the location. Make sure you love pampering because you will be taken care of the min you walk into the hotel. 10 stars Highly recommend!

Overwhelmingly wonderful! Jaw dropping beauty that went hand and hand with the service. Not a hiccup. Not a speck of a complaint. My son and I had only 2 nights to indulge and we did as well as we could allow ourselves. Food? Dee-Vine! Guest Room?Out of this world comfortable with every amenity you could even think of and things you NEVER would have thought you needed but of course ended up using.Staff? Like no other I have encountered at any hotel. in the entire universe! Friendly and helpful and a pleasure to be with. Small things like remembering my name from check in to check out. And the uniforms! We traveled for two weeks in Vietnam and Thailand on a very special long planned trip. This was the most memorable place of all! Thank you so much Cappella for doing what you do so very very well. Both of us will remember those two days forever!
