A haven in the chaos of Havana

We had a very bad experience in Havana, continuous hassle, a stomach infection that resulted in two hospital visits and a stay in a Casa Particular that can best be described as a Dickensian slum. The Melia Cohiba was an oasis of calm and tranquility to relax and recuperate. The staff was excellent especially Lina on breakfast who went out of her way to help my wife who was still very ill. The only negative is a personal thing - we don’t need music everywhere, all day. Apart from that it’s an excellent choice of hotel.

I loved it. I had a great time. Staff were very professional and friendly. Included free breakfast and it was very convenience. The pool was amazing. Definitely I will come back again to stay there.

We only stayed one night in this hotel, and it was a nightmare. We checked in at 12 p.m. with a small baby and tried to find any food in this hotel. Restaurants don't open until 6 p.m. There were only two sandwiches available at the bar. We tried ordering food from the menu when we came to the restaurant at 6 p.m., but they said, "Sorry, we are out of bread, fish and shrimps. We can only make pizza for you”. After that, we STACKED in the elevator with the lights turned off. We called for help several times, but no one answered. I had a panic attack because I was with my little baby and stacked between floors in a foreign country. I don't know how to express my feelings after staying at this hotel. Horrible! Guys, save your money and look for a better stay.

The Aqua Grill the best place to relax and good food,amazing service the service are the best Deysi are bery nice and gentle people I love the Hotel the swiming poll bery clean beautifull area !!!! Also the grill aqua are clean the drink service in cool presentation amazing
