Dear Paseo 206 & Eclectico Restaurant: Our relationship with “staff” began long before our arrival, as they were so very helpful pre-planning our activities with us, outside of Paseo 206, during our vacation in Cuba. They greeted us with umbrellas after we arrived in the rain, swept us into a magnificent library to sit with frozen mojitos, while all the luggage simply disappeared to our roof-top suites. We were home! By the time we prepared for departure, we toasted to the staff who had become our friends, and to the friends who had become our Cuban family. Every single detail was very much noticed, embraced, enjoyed, and cherished at the Boutique Hotel and Restaurant. But, it was the presence, kindness, humor, and gratitude of such special people within the establishments that filled our hearts with the very best memories forever. We thank all of you so very much and can’t wait to come back to see you again. With Love, Kelly & Steve Sebree

The reviews are nearly all 5-star and I will join the club. Great service. Even their "small" rooms are very comfortable. Tall ceilings, well-appointed. They have redone a classic home. An excellent restaurant. It's very convenient to walk down for a meal.

As an American traveling to Havana, it's tough to find a great hotel. Folks usually take the Airbnb route since the large hotels in Old Havana are government owned. Paseo 206 is a great find, it's a small boutique hotel, but some of the rooms are quite large. What makes this hotel great is the staff. They took care of my family and I as if we were visiting relatives. I've already recommended this hotel to my friends.

I just love this hotel, and the whole team. They aspire to offer an excellent, world class experience. In many ways it is that, with gorgeous suite designs, a thorough and attentive service team, seamless booking of activities outside of the hotel, a beautiful breakfast buffet, impeccable drinks, and delightful surprises (e.g. baking my husband a cake for his bday). At the same time, there are areas that can be improved: the exorbitant cost of the hotel's "Experiences", the noisy smaller rooms, the hard beds, the quality of the lunch/dinner food, and the mosquitos in the ground floor suite. However, the staff did try to remedy what we brought to their attention. For example, they provided us a discounted room upgrade when we complained about the smell and noise of our first room. They have also done their work to anticipate and mitigate certain problems that may occur. For example, Paseo 206 has back-up generators that kick in when Havana experiences one of its regular black-outs. The improvement areas aside, it's just marvelous what Andrea has accomplished with this hotel - and its sister hotel - and what he's trying to do for the larger hospitality market and economy of Havana in general. As well, it's such a charming experience overall to stay here. The staff - especially the women - are kind and accommodating. Jazz nights on Thursdays, featuring young artists from the university of the arts, are very well done. Harold is a WORLD CLASS drinks master and barista! The mansion has been exquisitely restored in a modern nod to the city's European heritage. And Andrea is onsite daily to touch base with staff, ensure things are running smoothly, and meet his guests. I would love to stay with him again and support his fine work. Keep it up!

If you've never been to Havana and not sure of the area to stay in...Vedada is a wonderful, safe and tranquil neighborhood. Paseo 206 is a gem and if you are used to staying in upscale boutique hotels with excellent service, concierge, food and decor you'll feel right at home here. The staff at Paseo is friendly, prompt and highly educated and happy to share their experience growing up in Havana. It was a treat talking with them. The front desk can arrange any experience you'd like from cigar smoking, to learning Cuban dominoes (we did that and it was a treat) and even the bar tender Harold will prepare you a rum flight and an education. Incidentally he won top prize for one of the best mixologists in Havana! Bonus is Paseo has a sister property in Old Havana that has all the amenities and charm as Paseo but downtown and only 15 min away. You won't go wrong with either place. If you have the good luck of running into the owners Andrea and Diane you'll quickly see why both properties are so well run!
