Lodge at Woodloc
route 590 East, RR1, Box 149

This is our 4th visit to The Lodge at Woodloch. My husband and I just love it here. It is so peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. The rooms are large and very nice with an outdoor balcony. We always request a room facing the woods, lake and firepit, so we can always see the birds and deer passing by. The spa is incredible. We are in our 70's with some aches and pains. I had a 110 minute "Rosemary Awakening" service with Patricia, which I loved, and my husband had a deep tissue massage one day (he forgets the name of the male masseuse who gave him his treatment), and a myofascial stretch another day, with Cassandra. He said both really loosened him up and he felt much better after both. All 3 meals each day were excellent. Everyone who works at the Lodge at Woodloch loves the work they are doing and they love the guests. The entire staff is very personable and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We even met the owner one day at lunch, who came over to our table to chat with us. My sister and I took a short walk to Blackmore Farms, to look around, and I want to thank Derek, who stopped working and came over to greet us and give us a personal tour of all the lettuces and everything they grow there to serve for our meals. It was beautiful this week of April, but we have had just as good a time in the winter and Fall. Between all the nature walks, indoor classes, Spa, Aqua Garden, there is always plenty to do. And Caleb is always at the house near the lake with the firepit waiting for guests to come to make smore's and have hot chocolate. We do that every season!! And lastly, a shout out to Deborah, our Art instructor, who helped us to make beautiful artwork.

I had been planning this get away for myself for quite some time. As an oncology nurse and caregiver of an elderly parent, this retreat was something that I desperately needed and was really looking forward to. I can’t tell you how many times I reviewed your website and looked at the pictures; almost to the point that I feared disappointment. You know that excited feeling that you get when you anticipate something so much but when it comes to time, it is a letdown. Well, let me tell you this was not, it exceeded my expectations. My journey started after a 4.5-hour drive greeted by your lovely gatekeeper who directed me to the front of the lodge. I was pleasantly welcomed by your bell staff and escorted to the front. Carol was wonderful, kind and genuine with her greetings with check-in and Lorriane was super helpful and kind when I wanted to extend my stay. Yes, I enjoyed myself so much that I added a night to my visit. In the spa, Joyce provided a great tour, and all the front desk staff were exceptional and patient with all my questions even when I forgot what locker I was in. Amber, Emily and Matia provided wonderful massages, facial and body wrap. The hosts were all gracious and the servers were top notch. I need to call out: Cat, Dylan, Maureen, Myrtis, Ron, Ben and Amber and some others that I didn’t catch their name, but rest assured was great. The food was all fabulous. The activities were outstanding, and I really enjoyed my Cyanotype sun prints with Sara and going outside of my comfort zone with the watercolor class. Great classes with Ashley, Kelsey, Vanessa and learned a lot from TRX teacher for beginners. These are just some of the employees that I encountered, and all seemed to really love their job. Please share with all the staff that I am confident that if I had crossed their path, I would have had the same experience. What also struck me was the attention to detail, birds chirping the public restrooms, fresh flowers everywhere, hooks strategically placed for your robes and bags and even a thank you bottle of wine for the interruption of changing my door lock. Lastly, I must give a shout out to the management of the Lodge. The staff are the foundation that supports an organization, and it is obvious that leadership recognizes this, as evident by the superior outcomes of hospitality. Continue your commitment to your staff and they will continue to provide your customers with excellent service and return visits. Thank you so much and see you next year, Nancy C.

My husband and I just returned from a 3-day getaway at the Lodge and it was wonderful. The food is amazing and we had almost every meal seated by the giant windows looking out towards the lake. We really enjoyed archery and hatchet throwing, gentle morning stretch class and the nature walk we took with Kenny and Julia. We also toured the farm which was very interesting. The indoor and outdoor hot tubs were my favorite of all, so relaxing. The room was very serene and comfortable and the robes were really nice for when we were at the spa/pool areas. We will definitely return in slightly warmer weather when we can go kayaking on the lake too.

Fabulous adults only luxury spa resort set in woods with stunning views of the lake, ponds, and hiking trails from every window. The food is absolutely delicious. Every meal had many options that were fresh, creative, and everything from the mango coconut muffins to the Maine worthy lobster roll was memorable. It’s especially friendly to vegetarian, vegan, GF needs. The spa services were consistently good and the service was top notch. But it’s the extensive menu of classes that make this place special. You can choose to do nothing and just cuddle in a corner by the fireplace and read, or you can take advantage of a huge menu of wellness, fitness, cooking, arts, etc. classes. We decorated birdhouses, made chakra crystal bracelets, mediated in comfy pods, and more. There is a state of the art fitness center (think Equinox at your hotel). This is an excellent option in a convenient Northeast location (~2-3 hour from NYC or Philly) for couples, girls trips, intergenerational families, solo getaways. There were men there but for the days I was there, it leaned female. It’s pricey but well worth it. Don’t wait - book it!
