Nestled in the hills above the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County, Madrona Manor is an exceptionally lovely Victorian estate surrounded by eight acres of wooded and landscaped grounds. The mansion, built in 1881, has been a destination for discerning guests seeking a stay in wine country since 1981. Madrona Manor offers a relaxing and private atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of town.

We have a vacation home in Healdsburg since 2009 and have been going to dinner at the Madrona Manner all these years. We have loved the setting, service, and wonderful food. We just arrived home from being there for the Wednesday fried chicken. It was a very disappointing experience. We asked the wait person as we always have that we wanted only white meat and that i was happy to pay extra for that to happen. She told me she didn't think that would be done but would ask. She came back and said no. We ordered the chicken nevertheless. The chicken was as close to be burned as it could be without being able to label it as such. The chicken was dried out and not anything like the chicken we had there as recently as this past June. The chicken included a tablespoon of cole slaw and a dried out biscuit. It used to be part of a three course meal. We ordered other things which rated no more then two to three stars. We were very disappointed. I don't think we will be going back.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, friendly and thoughtful stay. Michelin starred restaurant; loved the caviar + trout roe dip, halibut, chicken paillard (different + delicious). Healdsburg downtown felt a bit more limited in small shops but there are great wineries, food + lots of wild life! Hiking available nearby and St. Helena, Sonoma proper and Napa proper an easy 45-ish min drive.

This place was the perfect fit for our four day (first ever!) visit to Healdsburg. From our arrival to check out every single encounter with any employee was above and beyond professional and friendly! Valet, check-in, bar keep, concierge, food service and housekeeper ALL impressed us!! We ate downstairs first night in town and the whole experience was delightful. From handwritten notes to last minute winery accommodations the staff were so eager to assist and made genuinely authentic uplifting conversations with us throughout our stay. Book this place - you’ll love it! I can see why they are the proud owners of those shiny Michelin keys - well deserved!!! Oh!! And did I almost forget to mention the show stopping interiors?!? Fantastic!! Intimate, clean, modern and a surprise at each sight line- this is a place for creative and interesting guests to enjoy!! Well done Madrona! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We loved this wonderful hotel! We were celebrating our anniversary, and there was a lovely handwritten note left for us in the room. We also had another note, with some freshly picked wildflowers, at our table at dinner. (separate review for the restaurant!) We had a bungalow room, and it was lovely! A small private patio off to the side, a sitting room, bedroom with another sitting area with a fireplace. So cozy and romantic. All the decor was so lovely and unique. Not like a cookie cutter hotel room. The bathroom was large, and had heated floors!!! Loved that so much. Nice shower with plenty of water pressure, nice amenities, cozy robe. The only complaint was that the whole place was a little dark, but it was fine. A small fridge and minibar, which we didn’t use except to keep some food we had with us. Breakfast is included, and there was always something hot (one day was delicious scrambled eggs, another was a fruit porridge/muesli dish) plus coffee, juices, yogurt, and small breakfast pastries. Everyone was so pleasant too! When we checked in, we were offered a glass of champagne from nearby Orsi vineyards. It was delicious. (We actually went over there one afternoon and had a 2 for 1 tasting, as guests of the Madrona and bought some champagne.) Charles, the maître d, was so welcoming and helpful. Joe helped with parking & bags. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to visiting again.

I recently hosted a group of members from our social club at The Madrona for a weekend and we had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Arielle and Rachel were exceptionally accommodating and helpful in planning our stay, ensuring we had every detail covered including transportation to nearby wineries, dining recommendations and thoughtful touches on-site to take our experience to the next level. The property is stunning and every staff member welcomed us warmly and was ready to assist with any need at the drop of a hat. This is a team that goes above and beyond at a property that perfectly combines the serene lifestyle of Wine Country with refine elegance. We look forward to returning soon.
