Hotel Ranga

I definitely recommend. It could be a perfect romantic getaway with your significant other. The view from the restaurant is stunning and the food is to die for. It’s so relaxing to stay in the hot tub in the evening so don’t forget your bathing suits.

We stayed 7 nights at hotel Rangá “around the world in 7 suites” where we stayed in each of their 7 continental suites. The hotel was a perfect base for exploring everything the South Coast of Iceland has to offer and after each adventure-filled day, we returned to Hotel Rangá, where we were greeted by the most welcoming, kindest team. Their meals and drinks were delicious and we enjoyed the magic of staying in a differently-themed room depicting another continent each night. The hotel has 3 hot tubs that overlook the Rangá River and the highlands in the distance and we loved to take in the views while we relaxed or ate dinner. A special highlight was witnessing the northern lights—made possible by their aurora wake up call. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful property set away from city lights with access to wonderful activities. Great restaurant, and accommodating of food allergies.

Such a great hotel, all the staff were so friendly, the food was incredible, location as great, just off the golden circle yet remote and secluded. Rooms were a good size, photos of the hotel don’t do it justice!! Would highly recommend. They have a wake up service for the northern lights but unfortunately we didn’t see them during our stay as we were right at the end of the season.

5 star service and 5 star experience! Fabulous staff, fantastic food and beverage, good amenities. Loved every minute of our family gathering! Perfect for our 4 to 84 yo group. I can't recommend it highly enough! There is a reason for all its awards, it is extraordinary!
