Stayed here in Dec 2024 with family. The best part of the hotel is the location…it is a short 15-20 min walk from most attractions in the Kamppi and Centre area. The lobby interior and the rooms are a bit dated, but still offer comfort and relaxation. Our room faced the inner courtyard, so no water views for us. The bathroom could definitely use a refresh as well. However the bed was comfortable and I slept well. Lobby Bar looks nice but we didn’t get a chance to patronize it. WiFi worked well. Value was good in December…much cheaper than the Centre hotels. Connectivity is very good if you dont want to walk as the tram stop with major lines is a short 3-4 min walk. So is the Metro line. There is a lovely Foodhall just a short walk away, and so is a large supermarket. Overall worth a stay.

Very pleasant stay at the Hilton Strand Helsinki. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, with great views of the water. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was of good quality. The location is convenient, close to the city center yet quiet. Service was professional and efficient. Some small improvements in room amenities could make the experience even better. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays.

This hotel was our second to last stop on our fabulous European Christmas vacation. As frequent Hilton guests, we were looking forward to a few days of luxury and relaxation prior to our transatlantic flight home. Although at first blush, by the appearance of the swanky lobby (complete with koi pond) and glitzy lobby bar/restaurant - where the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating, I might add - we were otherwise very disappointed in this property: Room: At the price point of CAD$400/night, our King Executive Seaview room was somewhat misleading as it did not provide a view of the sea, but rather a muddy canal into the city district from the Gulf of Finland way off in the distance. Room 636 is not well laid-out - quite cluttered - and we had to move the glass top bedside table out of the way to improve traffic flow through the room. The curtains were difficult to open/close and many hooks were off the rails along the top. There was no door tag to request housekeeping service each day, with the result that on 2 of our 3 days at the hotel, we returned to our room in the afternoon only to find no cleaning had been done, no fresh towels, etc. Breakfast: Although there is a tremendous variety of items on display, the quality was lacking in several areas: - orange juice was some type of water plus syrup concoction and very underwhelming - Tang would have been better - I tried the bacon on two separate days and each time it was like shoe leather - couldn’t even chew - there’s a difference between crispy (well-cooked) and tough….. - hot dishes did not have lids attached - cumbersome for clients to serve the food - where do you put the lid? Also the hot dishes were not immersed in steam bath type containers to retain the heat, so all hot items I tried were lukewarm to cold - not great for eggs - condiments (ketchup etc.) were in squeeze bottles rather than dishes with serving spoons - cumbersome to serve Christmas Buffet: We decided to go for the earliest sitting of the buffet at 1:00 on Christmas Eve to ensure we had a good selection of food at its freshest. Although there was a tremendous variety of items on the buffet, there were no ‘fresh slicing’ stations (perhaps I’m accustomed to this only in Canada?) - the roast beef was pre sliced and tough, sitting in a pan of gravy. Also as mentioned above, the hot dishes weren’t in any type of ‘steam bath’ tray to help retain the heat. A redeeming feature of the buffet was the superb selection of dessert! Beautiful. All in all, when we added a tip to our bill, the total was just under 200 euros and we don’t feel we received nearly the value for what we paid. Lobby Restaurant - this may have been a seasonal issue, but the restaurant was not open for lunch service which we found inconvenient. On the Positive Side: - the Executive Lounge service was a lovely perk with our room and the view was very nice - but again the not food was not hot - waiter Hasan served us both in the Executive Lounge and at breakfast and he deserves a shoutout for his friendly and attentive service - housekeeping team member Francisco also deserves a shoutout for helping us with a few supplies on the days we found our room had not yet been cleaned

A basic standard Hilton. Location close to the centre and very walkable. 4th time here. The exec lounge is not as good as it used to be. Breakfast and team were very welcoming. A great start to the day. Rooms although small are clean. Shower in bath is very high so be mindful if you have mobility issues.

Thank you to Feruza and Mia Li for a great check-in experience. They assisted me with a really early check-in which allowed me to freshen up after a long overnight train ride from Rovaniemi. I truly appreciate their proactive spirit and friendly attitude. They stay was great, had a nice room. The hotel has a small and cosy executive lounge which is a little different from the other lounges I've been to in other properties but still nice. All in all a great stay.
