Hilton Helsinki Strand

We stayed for 4 nights during the fag end of our vacation in Finland. We were provided an upgrade and early check in. Quick and smooth process. The hotel is located conveniently, at a walking distance to all the attractions in Finland. Expansive buffet was a cherry on the cake.

My husband and I stayed here in April on our Baltic trip from Australia. We received the most helpful and friendly staff especially from the front desk staff. We checked out early in order to do a guided walk and the hotel kindly kept our bags for us. When we went to check out the lady on the front desk asked if we were missing our iPad tablet, I checked my bag and realised I did not have it and had left it in the room whilst rushing out the door! The staff here need to be recognised for their helpfulness and honesty, something hard to find these days whilst travelling…A HUGE THANK YOU and we will be back, we loved our time with the Finnish people.

Very nice and comfortable room. Excellent situated.its best assets: its people. I couldn't thank enough Tobias. He was helpful, professional, kind even before our arrival. If someone knows about hospitality, this is Tobias. Excellent manners great conversation, always there to help and anticipating guests needs. You are the best!!! I dont have enogh words to make our stay wonderful. I would like to mention Tiina who checked us in and she gave some directions and tips of what to do around. She was very helpful and welcome us in a very nice way.

I stayed here when I came to watch England football. Luckily the ticket collection was in the hotel which was ideal. The hotel staff were all lovely and helpful when I needed advice. The room was huge and bed really comfy. Bathroom size was also big. You could have fit a big family in the room. Food in the hotel was a good. I was a bit wary as had been told Finland was expensive but found the hotel costings reasonable. It was a short stroll into the centre where the sites were and good location for the football. Would stay here agin if I visited for sure.

Stayed here in Dec 2024 with family. The best part of the hotel is the location…it is a short 15-20 min walk from most attractions in the Kamppi and Centre area. The lobby interior and the rooms are a bit dated, but still offer comfort and relaxation. Our room faced the inner courtyard, so no water views for us. The bathroom could definitely use a refresh as well. However the bed was comfortable and I slept well. Lobby Bar looks nice but we didn’t get a chance to patronize it. WiFi worked well. Value was good in December…much cheaper than the Centre hotels. Connectivity is very good if you dont want to walk as the tram stop with major lines is a short 3-4 min walk. So is the Metro line. There is a lovely Foodhall just a short walk away, and so is a large supermarket. Overall worth a stay.
