Loved it here. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of the Hakaniemi market place and tram station. Short hop on the tram takes you to the Helsingin päärautatieasema (central train station). Such a walkable area, so many lovely restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were wonderful. The construction around the area made driving a bit chaotic though.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was clean, close to public transportation and had excellent service. We had been in London the week before at the Conrad St James and thought there was no way the breakfast could be beat but Helsinki Strand did it! Every choice I could imagine and many items specific to Finland which was fun to try on a buffet without the "pressure" of ordering a whole dish you are unsure of. Best of all we met Hasan in the Executive lounge and at Breakfast. He was truly exceptional and brought our whole group joy! We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thank You Hasan and all the people we didn't see that keep this hotel going.

A great hotel in a central location. We travel a lot and this was a great property with an awesome view from the hotel and executive lounge of the harbor. Great exec lounge and fantastic breakfast...with EXCEPTIONAL service from Hassan in both!!

Nice clean hotel only a 10 minute walk from the main city centre. Rooms are really spacious and clean and the dining experiences are more than adequate. Good choice of English speaking tv channels too. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again if I was ever in the city.

I had to deal with this pretentious and rude general manager by the name of MANU PIETINEN who threatened me that if I posted a negative review, he would report me to Hilton. This hotel took all of my items out of one room and move them to another room without my consent. I was missing a red sweater and I was missing toiletry items and when I complained about being moved, he told me it was customary in Finland for them to move a guests items without their consent. I asked for a refund for my sweater and my items that were missing and he told me per Hilton. He does not have to provide me a refund. Again, let me stress the fact that he threatened me that if I gave a bad review. He would report me to Hilton corporate. I am reaching out to Hilton to register a formal complaint the arrogance of this man was unprecedented. Beware. In the United States we would never treat a client like this, but for some reason, he feels like he can.
