cold an bad service. These are not friendly people, we did not enjoy our stay and they must not have paid the hear bill here. The place was cold, the spa was cold, not sure what was going on here but it wasn't goo for sure. We would never stay here again.

Cold hotel, not a five star in my opinion.

Small rooms, loud lower floors and cold, cold , cold. Pool was small. Check in was ok and most of the staff was good to deal with. I’m a Marriott supporter, but they don’t really care if you are, I was there on a week day and it was very slow there, but they wouldn’t offer an upgrade. I never expect it during busy times, but you can look around and realize a hotel is slow and that’s when they should give them

A nice blend of luxury and comfort in the heart of Helsinki

My wife and I stayed one night at the Hotel St. George. The Atelier room was fabulous, with a great view over snowy Vanha kirkkopuisto. Also the hotel had nicely remembered my wife's birthday with some delicacy in the room. Everything was spotless in the room, comfortable bed to sleep etc. Perhaps the only downside was some noises heard (mainly footsteps) from above one Suite, but the earplugs were a nice addition. Also the rubberband and some instructions for exercise both on TV and small "note cards" based on the Aki Hintsa method were a nice supplement :) We visited the spa in the evening and overall it was a nice experience. Special shout-out to the cold dipping pool and thermal sauna. The traditional Finnish sauna could have been a bit warmer, but I understand it's catered for many nationalities. Although the main pool was small, it was nice to dip in it. Breakfast was a nice blend of some traditional Finnish/Swedish things like herring and smoked vendace, international main course foods and a good selection of breads, including cold cuts. The only thing we were wondering a bit was about the dragonfruit and passion fruit in the middle of Winter. Overall, very solid and good standard breakfast. Special remark on the St. George bakery which is just opposite the breakfast place, where you can also buy some nice delicacies such as cinnamon rolls to take away. :) Overall, I would highly recommend the establishment if you like a bit of luxury and apprecite a very central location in Helsinki!

Great disappointment for my daughter.

We were at that hotel during Christmas holiday 2024. We had preferred that property for two reasons: 1) Spa and pool 2) in order not to have heating problems( Most of Scandinavian hotels are famous for freezing temperatures) Hotel itself is modern and luxurious, with great breakfast and food amenities. However we became shocked when we visited the spa: 1) Our 12 years old daughter are not allowed to enter , because there was age limit of 16 .2) Anyway second shock was pool….it was not pool only an puddle that is for ducklings .we were fooled by the photo in the web slte. In the middle of winter , why visits one Helsinki? For sauna and pool. That was a great disappointment for my daughter and us. It is hard to understand age limit. It defies all logic and international standards. Has the hotel right to put age limit arbitrarily? for example persons over 70 years of age are not allowed to stay in our hotel , Rules are rules. I don’t think so.I will make a complaint to an international institution about that.
