We had a lovely birthday afternoon tea with family. Quentin was very warm, kind and ensured my family were taken care of throughout. Quentin brought me a personalised birthday treat whuch was appreciated. Raff was wondeful as always, making sure we had enough food and drinks he is the best. Raff always makes us laugh and feel at ease. Holly was kind and checked in on us throughout. A fantastic time had by all!

Amazing service!! Quentin was amazing so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Holly and Raff are very kind and helpful. Raff has looked after us many times before, he is one that remembers us and always looks after us. Staff are incredible!! Quentin should be manager xx

This was our third visit to Sopwell House and it has always been our favourite little place to escape too and is always such a treat. However on this occasion we were really disappointed, for £500 per night, you don’t expect to have cold pools in the spa, a STRONG smell of cannibis in the corridor to your room and a shower that doesn’t drain. Unfortunately Sopwell house has now gone from our favourite place to stay to one which I’m unsure if we will return too in a hurry. For the price, we have never been able to fault it, but this time round we’re not leaving saying the same thing. Really sad 😟

Spa was amazing, the receptionists were very welcoming, a lady called Jade looked after us and provided a welcome drink too which was a surprise. Definitely will be back soon! The indoor/outdoor pool is a highlight, everything is very clean, Thank you.

Lunch for about 18 people. Long table with people sitting opposite each other. Menues were preordered. Other than the deserts ( which everybody liked), the food was very ordinary, plonked unappetisingly on one’s plate, which in the case of beef or pork belly was dominated by a huge Yorkshire pudding which must have been cooked the day before. Plenty of sliced meat which, however, in the case of the pork was so tough that even after having asked for a sharper knife, was still hard to cut and chew. The 2 carrots had just been halved and browned and there was also a heap of spinach .I, and looking round the table, most people’s food was left uneaten. I don’t know how much the host had paid, but whatever it was, it was too much. It certainly was not the sort of meal one would expect from a 4* hotel which otherwise looked perfect.
