About the Hotel

Anantara Hoi An Resort is a sumptuous product of the eclectic cultural mix that makes up Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where merchants from around the world traded and left their imprint on the city. Rooms and suites are housed in two- and three-story French Colonial buildings, where a fusion of European and Asian design sensibilities create a contemporary environment accented by rich wood and splashes of color. Watch lantern-lit boats coast by at the riverside restaurant or board your own for an unforgettable dinner cruise.

Reviews for Anantara Hoi An Resort

Stylish hotel at a great location.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

High quality hotel at a great location to experience everything Hoi An has to offer by night and day. The breakfast buffet offers enough selections to satisfy anyone. Only nitpicking would be the set dinner we ordered that was expensive by Vietnamese standards without offering great value as the menu items were below par in taste and quality. If had to do it over, would just order ala carte.

A perfect return to Hoi An

Anantara Hoi An Resort is the perfect location from which to explore Hoi An. Near enough to the vibrant stores, market and nightlife. Far enough away for a bit of peace and quiet.

Wonderful stay

We spent four nights at the hotel during our trip to South East Asia. The hotel is an oasis of calm and all of the fantastic staff looked after us so well. We had a lovely spacious river view balcony suite which was great. We ate every night in the hotel and the food and drinks delicious. We especially enjoyed the aubergine dish as well as the soft shell crab salad and the negronis! Special thanks to the manager Hai and her staff and to Ngu for being so nice in the restaurant. Everyone we met was first class thank you.

Anantara you can do better and you know it

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

After hearing so many wonderful things about Anantara Hotels, our first experience with the brand here in Hoi An was a let down. Service was faultless, but the hotel itself is very outdated across all the facilities. Rooms are spacious but the walls are paper thin and the furniture and bathroom fixtures look like they have not been improved upon since Anantara acquired the property in 2013. Also shocking and disgusting for a hotel of this caliber- they reuse the disposable cloth slippers between guests. I know this because I tried to throw one pair away with very clear signs of use and after the room was serviced the very same pair was moved from the waste bin to the closet. Either provide guests with new disposable slippers, plastic washable flip flops, or no slippers at all! But doing something like this makes you wonder what else they are skimping on! In sum there are plenty of newer, nicer options in Hoi An now for the money. The hotel seems to be resting on the laurels of the location but as Hoi An gets crushed by overtourism this will be less desirable and you already see it at the hotel as it seems to cater to a lot of big groups.
