The Nam Hai Hoi An

My most favourite hotel anywhere in the world, and we have stayed in the best of the best, but the nam Hai still tops our list. It is one of those very rare places where I truly relax, even if it just a shirt 3-day weekend trip away from Kuala Lumpur. This was our 19th visit and the constant improvements are noticeable and the best just keeps getting better. This stay off 2 nights was not long enough but was determined by work commitments. Already booked for 5 nights next year for a proper holiday. Thank you to all staff at Nam Hai as you really do look after us so well. Special thanks to Marcel, Michael, Marco and Debbie. Can’t wait to be back for a longer stay.

I don't know if I have much to add to all the reviews that talk about how perfect this place is. My family and I stayed in a 3 bedroom beachfront villa in July and it was absolutely perfect. Tin (Anna) our butler was the most amazing. I've stayed at several places with "butlers" you see only on the first day and last that don't actually do anything, but Tin communicated with us constantly via WhatsApp, arranged buggy arrivals and dining and activity appointments (both on and off property), brought us fruit and snacks and pool toys, helped us with laundry, and even tailored my daughter's pants that were too long. She was a delightful person all around and made the stay exceptional.

In July 2024, we were in a three-bedroom villa for 4 nights and it was perfect; the service, the rooms, the amenities, etc. The pool that we had in our villa was amazing. We had such a relaxing time bonding with each other. I am already looking forward to being back!

This resort is absolutely amazing. The staff is so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Messaging through the app was super easy and responsive within seconds. My wife has celiac’s disease and cannot eat gluten. The staff was very attentive to this at all meals and accommodate separate items for her. The restaurants on property (and in room dining) are all delicious and there was plenty for her to enjoy. The only hiccup we had was there was a wedding (off property on public grounds) during a spa treatment so we heard the wedding music during the appointment. The spa acknowledged this and discounted the rate. The quiet pool is a little deep at 1.5m all around so some floats in the pool would be nice, but it is still a great pool.

The Nam Hai is a beautiful property. It is inviting and feels very warm. The staff are incredible and they quickly get to know your names . Sometimes the service is a bit slow. But when you the the staff’s warm and smiling faces they go above and beyond to accommodate you. Everyone from the front desk to the pool/spa are amazing wonderful people. It’s the little things though that brought this down to a 4. Not changing the sheets. Flies all over the room. Air Con outdated and warm on humid nights. The room itself is outdated with outdated technology. Turn down service after 8pm. Would I stay again , absolutely. Could they be much better given your paying European prices in Vietnam , certainly!
