Paradisus Rio de Oro Resort and Spa

We completed our 2nd trip to PRDO staying in the Royal Service Section. We did not experience any food, power outages or other shortages during our stay. The resort staff go above and beyond to meet your every need. It was nice to recognize many of the same staff from our prior visit. The food, service and entertainment are very good. The Cuban performers are talented and remind you of their rich culture through their music. The daily hotel walking excursions are a hidden gem provided at no extra cost and are a great way to learn about the area, resort facilities and meet fellow vacationers. Information is given on local birds and plants. The hotel grounds are well maintained with beautiful gardens. Good walking shoes are a must.

Stunning resort worthy of 5 stars. The staff were friendly, professional and very welcoming. We had a great time. The room was very spacious and clean. The buffet food was amazing. From fish to meat, vegetables, all dishes had flavour. The snack bar near the pool served a variety of dishes and drinks. The food counters, the tables and dishware were very clean. The restaurant at the beach was amazing. It serves delicious food with a view. We took long walks at Botanic Garden. Lots of trees. The hotel grounds are beautiful. Beach is amazing. Definitely coming back. Thank you to everyone at this hotel We loved it!

Another wonderful week at PRDO. Spent a relaxing week by the pool, swimming in the ocean and playing volleyball. Adults only resort, most people are older… Definitely not a party resort. Food was good and abundant, staff, pleasant …facilities were clean and mostly up-to-date. Enjoyed the pig roast on the beach and the great house band. We will probably go back again next year.

The Entertainment Staff was absolutely fantastic! This was our second time staying at the resort, and all of the staff immediately recognized us from our stay last year and made us feel right at home! We particularly enjoyed the dancing lessons, beach volleyball, and all of the evening entertainment. We look forward to returning next year. In addition to the outstanding Entertainment Staff and their activity program, the food was outstanding (although we did not really use the restaurants, just hit the buffet for almost every meal, as it was so great!) and the F&B team and service staff really elevated the meal experiences. We also really enjoyed they gym, which we used daily, as well as our spa visit where we had a massage and used the sauna. I will mention that the property is a bit older, and some parts of it could use some updating. With that being said, we loved every inch of this resort, and would give 6 stars if we could. Did I mention how great the Entertainment Staff was! Can't wait to see them all again for our visit next year.

This was my 3rd trip to PRDO. My 4th is already booked for February. The resort is very peaceful and relaxing. The staff go above and beyond. Delmis, entertainment manager, makes sure that all of your needs are taken care of. I can go on and on about the staff Marice from the pool bar, Llemna and Elvis from the snack bar, Neysi, Andy, Maria and Marisol are all amazing. I can go on and on. Zero complaints about anything. The most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Keep up the good work. PRDO has become my second home. You will not be disappointed
