The Garland is a great hotel, very stylish but felt lovely and relaxed. Really friendly staff, and great amenities - I loved the toiletries in the bathrooms. The pool and hot tubs were lovely, good service and yummy cocktails. Location was perfect for so many activities - Warner bros Studio, Universal, Griffith Park and Observatory, Hollywood Sign Hikes, Hollywood Bowl, Mulholland Drive to name a few me but a few. But felt like you were in a calm place. The hotel restaurant, The Front Yard is also highly recommended for the buffet breakfast and dinner. There is also a bar, gym, shop, shuttle trolley to Universal which we didn’t use. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in LA.

Have stayed here before and it was better then. The steady noise from the freeway would be preferable to the ground floor room, (pet friendly? Flea bites? We had no pet with us...), facing the pool and courtyard. The bass thumping from music began at 8:30am, and noise from the pool, and banging sounds from pool movies, & screaming lasted until 10pm and beyond. There were kids yelling and running around after 10:30pm. We followed detailed instructions on the patio door... and closed it as tight as possible but it was still loud. Needed ear plugs, a sound machine, and fan running and still heard noise. A large barking dog woke us once we did get to sleep. The parking is tight and expensive. Pool was loud, crowded, and not a good place to relax. Room small but clean. That said, the decor is nice and location convenient, but it would be good only if you were going to Universal and had kids with you. Not a good place for just adults, or if you have appointments the next day. Had they put us on the freeway side it would have been better. The steady traffic roar would have been preferable to intermittent banging, thumping bass, and yelling. I had hoped the clerk would offer an upgrade when we checked in, but since he did not I figured it was the only room left. Had higher hopes for this hotel. There are many others next time.

This is now the second time our company has booked accommodations with The Garland, and we will absolutely be booking with them again later this year for the 3rd time. Any event planner knows how you can be very detailed in the pre-planning stage, but when things finally get put in motion anything can change. Huge shoutout to Julieta N. & Laura D. for being so kind and accommodating with every single last minute adjustment to our stay. Just when I thought we were squared away, there was another adjustment, and another adjustment, aaaand another adjustment. Thank you so much for being a fantastic stewards of customer service, actively listening to our needs, and customizing the perfect plan for our 20-room group. One of my girls was even tied-up in meetings and they offered late check out and no additional charge! Now onto the hotel accommodations itself. We decided to book here for the second time because of how warm and inviting the aesthetic and layout are (in addition to the amazing team running it). We flew in our sales reps from across the state, who only see each other once many twice a year. The lobby bar, The Front Yard restaurant, pool, and various seating areas allowed for our team to naturally make off-the-clock plans and bond. So many memories were made in such a short amount of time. And finally, I have to shout out Bayron from the lobby bar. He went above and beyond by not just serving up delicious drinks to our team, he went into detail about the aromatics, ingredients, and recommended other drinks based on palettes. You've got a rockstar! And to future hotel-guests, I hope you get Bayron as your bartender. Thank you Garland team, & we'll see you again in the fall :)

This boutique hotel truly exceeded our expectations. The shuttle service was a game-changer for us, making trips to Universal Studios quick and easy. It was so convenient to have that transportation option available throughout our stay. The kids absolutely loved the warm pool – it was the perfect spot for them to unwind after a day of exploring. We all enjoyed our meals at the hotel’s restaurant, and I have to say, the Brussels sprouts appetizer was hands down my favorite! So flavorful and unique. Overall, the service was top-notch, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the amenities were just right for our family. Highly recommend The Garland for anyone visiting the area!
