W Hollywood

It's always an amazing stay. We stay here when visiting Pantages Theater next door. Great hotel conveniently located to all the fun. The newly remodeled rooms and bar are fantastic. From when we first arrive and Eric at velvet welcomes us and takes care of the car to Macaela, checking us in at the front desk, we feel welcomed by an exceptionally friendly staff. Also, I do not want to forget Hector at the bar who makes an amazing old fashioned and goes beyond with the service.

I’m currently here at the W Hollywood and I’m incredibly surprised by any of the negative reviews left on TripAdvisor or locally on Marriott. I’m an Ambassador Elite member, and I will say from start to finish the staff, room and amenities are superb. Incredibly clean, modern, updated, and friendly property. For those reviews that complain about the pricing of food or drinks: this is LA and on top of it all it’s WeHo. Everything is overpriced in this area! Two amazing call outs here: staff is Ritz level quality. They do a great job here fostering a Hollywood/SoCal vibe. Only minor ding here is no suite upgrades. While they do their best to upgrade elite members, suite upgrades (even for Ambassador members) are extremely hard to come by.

Great location in the thick of Hollywood, with just the right amount of homelessness juxtaposing things we see on TV. The room was small, but modern, with perhaps too many gimmicks, but at the same time, if I wanted a toothbrush and toothpaste, all I had to do was ask the front desk. What a dichotomy. Overall, glad I came, prolly' wouldn't return, and that's why it gets an "Average" rating. As the title says: Nothing More, Nothing Less.

I am in utter shock. W Hollywood’s “W Insider” Lina is incredible. I honestly did not know the famous “Whatever, Whenever” was an actual thing. I thought it was a mythical marketing thing. No. It’s real, folks. Short story is my backpack, which had a $5000 computer and work set up, two sets of house keys, and expensive electronics inside plus other important personal items… was left behind when the bags were loaded from the storage closet into the car from the valet area. We did not know and just drove off… all the way to Palm Springs two hours away. We were exhausted from work and were not physically capable of driving back 2 hours at 11pm to arrive at 1am, pickup the backpack, then drive back to hopefully get to our destination at 3am. We already took a break on the way to have a 10-minute nap. When Lina found out what happened, she was incredible sweet, caring, compassionate, and listened to the whole ordeal. Once she realized the gravity of the situation with the expensive items and security/access concerns regarding our keys, she flew into action. She mobilized and coordinated her staff to gain approvals and coordinate a solution. The result was a creative (and extremely generous) push to find an Uber driver willing to drive 4-hours RT to deliver a package, as there were no options for mailing that would have gotten the backpack here in the next day before we would have to leave for the airport. Impressive problem solving! Somehow she convinced someone, got them to agree to take the package, and connected everyone on text threads to communicate and ensure successful delivery. It’s on its way right now, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’ve been an loyal Starwood, and then Marriott member for a long time, but I’ve never experienced service like this. Lina went above and beyond and blew my mind with her willingness and eagerness to help, which has resulted in a loyal W Hollywood customer for life. The W has always had a special place in my heart when I travel for business and pleasure. Memorable trips all over the world and impeccable quality. But this takes it over the top. I’m thorough impressed and Lina has earned my loyalty. People never forget when someone helps them in their hour of need, especially when they don’t have to. Thank you Lina, and I hope the W understands what they have in you.

Have stayed at the (Marriott) W Hollywood Hotel twice before in the last couple of years, while attending concerts and plays at the Pantages Theatre, directly across the street. A great location with a lot of Hollywood history all around you. The iconic Capitol Records building is just a short walk away. The hotel is very stylish and sleek. Striking, yet understated decor. Rooms are very modern and comfortable. Glamorous dining and bar area with great food. Very professional and courteous staff. Robert at check-out was especially gracious and cordial. A Metro station is right outside if you care to venture on the subway system.
