Beautiful Hotel - Ask for Nadine!!! Beware of Melvin.

We enjoyed our stay at Lyfe Resort. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff for the most part was friendly. There was one particular staff member, Melvin who was unpleasant. I had called a week prior to our stay to secure a late checkout, and had the pleasure of speaking with Nadine. She assured me that we will be accommodated and taken care of. At check-in, Nadine wasn't present but the front desk seen the notes for the late checkout request and that there were no issues. I wanted to confirm the night prior to checkout and ran into Melvin, who was less accommodating. He didn't check my room number, and was quoting me different prices for a late checkout based on the different time slots. After discussing what time worked best for our late flight, I went back to the front desk to secure the late checkout. This is when Melvin checked the room details and advised that a late checkout wouldn't be available because another guest was checking into it and they needed the room. His attitude of this was unhelpful and I was pissed to say the least. The following morning on the day we were supposed to be checking out, I didn't even want to go downstairs to see if he was mistaken since I had followed up multiple times to secure a late checkout because his attitude was appalling. Thankfully I did, because I ran into Nadine, who had originally helped me, and confirmed that I indeed had a late checkout and everything was fine. She was nothing but the best, and she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything I had asked for. Unlike Melvin. Sadly, we had to deal with Melvin who's attitude had not changed from the previous night. He was dismissive and rude and trying to take credit for Nadine's work. We had asked about getting our car from the valet seeing as you have to go through security to get to the car and he couldn't even be bothered to answer a simple question that I'm sure most guests would logically ask. We had to figure it ourselves because he was unhelpful. Thankfully, Melvin did not damper our time spent at Lyfe Resort and overall it was still a good time spent. The amenities were nice, the room was clean, and it was a relaxing vacation. Should you stay here, look out for Nadine, because her excellent customer service at this establishment would make your trip worthwhile.

Excellent Location – Ask for Nadine (Avoid Melvin)

We had a pleasant stay at Hyde Resorts. The staff was friendly, and the premises were clean and secure, leaving us with no complaints regarding the resort itself. However, we did encounter some issues with a particular staff member, Melvin. A week prior to our stay, we confirmed a late checkout with Nadine, who assured us that it was reserved and we would be charged accordingly. At check-in, we confirmed this again, and were told it was noted in our file. The night before checkout, we spoke with Melvin at the front desk, and he quoted different prices for various time slots. After selecting a time based on our late flight, we returned to confirm our choice, only to be informed by Melvin that he had double-booked our room and we could no longer check out late. His handling of the situation was disappointing and unhelpful. The following morning, we returned to the front desk, where Nadine, who had originally assisted us, was present. She confirmed that nothing had changed, and our late checkout was still in place as noted. Nadine's professionalism, helpfulness, and positive attitude were a welcome relief after the previous encounter. Unfortunately, upon checkout, we again dealt with Melvin, who falsely claimed credit for resolving the situation when it was Nadine who had assisted us. During checkout, he was dismissive and rude, particularly regarding the valet service and other logistics, such as our access bands for the parking garage. He showed no willingness to help, essentially leaving us to figure things out on our own. Despite these challenges, I highly recommend working with Nadine if you choose to stay at this establishment. Her excellent service truly made a difference in our experience.

Perfect spot between Miami and Fort Lauderdale!

Great location on the ocean and close to the airport. Many choices for us to go out for dinner and lunch. Beach was awesome and very adequate gym with great view of the ocean. Great restaurant on the beach connected to the resort! Nice happy hour too!

Will never come back.

The only good thing about this place is the balcony view and access to the beach. Everything else was terrible, the employees were all super rude. The room was disgusting, the wifi was hard to figure out. Since we booked with AirBnB we couldn’t ask the front desk for any amenities, they told us just to contact our booker. Everything is expensive, Resourt fees, room fee, person per room fee, parking fee and no pets allowed. Worst hotel ever.

Very mixed bag.

The staff is a really mixed bag. Nadine at the front desk was absolutely incredible and attentive. We had an issue with our reservation and she went above and beyond her responsibility to get it rectified. The beach crew, lead by Alex, was absolutely awful. We stayed for two days and despite 5 staff sitting by the beach entrance, they didn’t provide us a towel once. We had to walk back to the front desk to get it towels while they sat around. Same deal with pool area. Bar tender was incredible, pool attendants were awful. Facilities were fine but the experience is what sticks out.
