Reviews for Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

Duke Statue is the reference location point for this hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Good hotel for a family or with friends. Beds are comfortable. Reference is the Duke statue....beach is literally across the street. No need to bring beach towels as these are provided. I purchased an ocean view but got a partial ocean view...be sure to really ask for an ocean view upon checking in. Gym is good, used it for 4 days straight, but running on Kalakaua is just as great. Opt for self-parking at a fee, but the garage does get packed by the evening and slots are narrow; best to rent a car and not a van/truck/jeep. A few night markets in the hotel in the evenings to purchase fresh fruit, malasadas (don't get Leonard's, get the Filipino kine)! Lots of places to eat nearby, you won't be disappointed. Valet can get congested around check in/check out times, but that's any where. I asked for late check out for both of my rooms and they accommodated. Sewing kit and tampons were provided as requested. The only thing I didn't try was the spa and pool - no need if you got the beach, the nice weather and food. Aloha!

the hotel although an establishment on the beach front for many years is always welcoming and accomodating. my request for an early checkin was fulfulled with an amazing ocean front king room on the 37th floor.....views ..views...sunset...sunrise rainbows..even fireworks from hilton hawaii village. The staff encountered during my 10nite stay were without exception totally warm and friendly and eager to please......you cant ask more than that.. the farmers market twice weekly in the lobby and ground floor area is a great way to discover and enjoy Hawaiian food and culture. refreshed...reenergised to face life outside of this paradise......definately my favourite place in the world ...mahalo...

Birthday celebration vacation/couples vacation

The staff were so nice! Grace at the front desk gave us a room upgrade and it was an ocean view! I'm so grateful because that jumpstarted our vacation in a positive way. The beach being across the street was amazing because the sounds of the ocean was soothing 😌 Having a dispensary INSIDE was icing on the cake 🎂 No complaints at all. We were able to walk everywhere because everything was so close. All of the amenities and complimentary things were more than what we expected. Like the towels, lawn chairs, complimentary water bottles and tote bags etc. We loved the full-sized gym! We will be back! Mahalo 🤙🏾

Mahalo spirit for sure!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Had an amazing visit. The hotel is lovely, we had a great room with an amazing view. Love the heated toilet seat and comfy bed! phenomenal breakfast and perfect location. But, the best part, no doubt, were the people! I felt like family and definitely the Mahalo spirit. Hated leaving, We will be back next year!

Hotel that needs love and major maintenance & upgrades

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Old hotel, not so neat, old thresaded and curlerd carpet in rooms, dirty walls and doors with fingerprints, two tone blue paint (patching job) in bathroom, major paint job needed in the room (light yellowish green), leaks in faucets, worn furniture, broken furniture and doors. Definitely needs renovation - very 80's. Beds are not so comfy -you feel every spring. Pool is tiny and dirty at the botom and not the pool we expected in a big hotel. Bottom line: this bhotel needs a lot of love and maintenance in all spheres. Far from what I expected. Very disapointed.
