Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort

I booked this hotel because it was close to where a family member was staying, and I needed a room for just one night in Honolulu before we left for Japan the next day. My hope was to get a good rest before our long international flight. Unfortunately, I had a terrible night due to unending noise, which included street traffic, loud live music at/near the hotel, muffled elevator chimes, early morning garbage trucks backing up and beeping outside, and voices from the next room. The alarm clock in our room came equipped with a white noise feature, which was unable to muffle the sounds unless the volume was turned up so high that it made sleep impossible by itself. I did not sleep the entire night, and I started the next day so stressed that I literally cried. I strongly advise against a "city view" room, which should be renamed a "city noise" room. On top of this, the room and furnishings were worn and dated--but honestly I wouldn't have cared if I'd gotten a good night's sleep. On the positive side, the hotel has a good location in Waikiki, and it was convenient for errands we needed to run before leaving on our trip.

I travel a lot, but this hotel stands out with their customer service. From the moment we got there until we left every employee was kind, helpful and just perfect. I was curious as they had staff still there from when we last visited during COVID and they were all positive about why they continued to work there. The hotel is in a perfect spot for the beach, shopping and Restaurants. It could use an update, but was clean and had larger than average rooms. Several restaurants onsite-all great.

Our stay at The Outrigger Waikiki beach resort was nothing short of amazing. The resort was super clean, beds were so comfortable and everyone was so friendly. The staff met our every need and the view from the restaurants are just breathtaking. The resort is in a central location close to local stores you may need to visit through your stay. Many stores to check out right inside the building, and in the surrounding area. Totally recommend getting dinner athe the cheesecake factory nextdoor as well! The beach was wonderful with the warmest, most turquoise water I've ever seen. Umbrella rentals were reasonable and totally worth it! My husband and I renewed our vows there, which were free of charge to guests staying at the Outrigger. The ceremony was so special and personal. I would totally stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Waikiki.

From the moment we arrived, we were well cared for by the crew to handle luggage, the front desk to check us in, and housekeeping kept the room fresh everyday. We are no stranger to the Outrigger Beach, coming over from a neighboring property some years ago. Our love affair continues with Waikiki and The Outrigger puts us in a perfect spot to enjoy all the great things Waikiki has to offer. It not hard to figure out, but the view has me sold. The entire Outrigger staff always available to address anything you need, many of which have been there for years. Each of the rooms we've stayed in were up to date , fresh and clean, only moving to upgrade to be able to soak in the iconic Waikiki Beach view from the front row. While there is so much to do even activity wise within the hotel, our primary love is the beach. We even booked another trip for November, well worth the 11.5 hours of travel from the East Coast. Thank you Outrigger for all the 'Ohana' provided during our stay.

I love the Outrigger in Waikiki! The staff is professional, timely, and provides excellent service. I stayed for a few weeks and they did everything possible to make my dog and family feel at home as we move to Hawaii for work. Dog & family friendly!
