This was my first Four Seasons experience. It was short but satisfying. Although there were several service hiccups, my two-night stay was mostly enjoyable. ARRIVAL Due to a redeye flight from SFO, I arrived at the hotel very early. When getting in well before check-in time, I hope for the best (getting a room right away) and prepare for the worst (waiting five or more hours until check-in time). I was prepared to check my bag and get in some spa time if my room was not ready. Thankfully “Double R” at the front desk was able to help me out by reassigning suite that was immediately available. ACCOMMODATIONS The suite was comfortable, spacious, and well maintained. The bathrooms aren’t huge but for a 1980’s era, downtown hotel, they are a pretty good size. The nicely updated rooms have plenty of lighting, electrical and USB outlets. Honor bar was well stocked. TV’s are nice and large. Sound-proofing is adequate. Housekeeping was very good. The bedroom had some non-functioning bedside lighting and electrical outlets that took a few calls to the front desk to get repaired. Since this was not my originally assigned room and I was given the courtesy of a very early check-in, no shots. Very surprised they have no mouthwash in the rooms, only available in the locker room at the spa. VALET SERVICES Sent clothing items out before 9am to be pressed with a requested return time of 4pm. My clothes came back an hour late and after I had ironed another shirt for dinner. On the positive side, I have never seen shirts so nicely finished, they were perfect! They make cotton look like silk! TORO TORO Great breakfast; although, I didn’t love the snarky, familiar tone the server took toward me and my guests. I’m betting he will be gone by my next visit after he says the wrong thing to someone without a sense of humor. Dinner service was top notch. Excellent kale salad. Empanada starter was the highlight of the evening. Salmon was flavorful but a bit undercooked. It was very close to sushi, which was fine for me but probably unsatisfactory for most. FITNESS CENTER One of the best hotel gyms I have been to in a long time. Always a plus when you can get a Smith Machine, EZ-curl barbells and 100 lbs dumbbells, which are rare for a hotel gym. Four Seasons had it all! The addition of a Roman chair would be the icing on the cake! Ellipticals were premium grade as were the Life Fitness machines that keep track of your reps and time in between sets. SPA Had a great 80 minute deep tissue massage. I just wish they turned on the table warmer ahead of time. If you like the table pre-warmed, make that known at time of booking your appointment. Men’s locker room is stocked with all required toiletries and amenities, and was well policed. Steam room was good but I kept sitting on empty water cups so it probably wasn’t being checked as often. They are hard to see in the stream. The lockers are full-length, which was great so you aren’t blocking anyone else’s way when opening yours. I didn’t get the name of the locker room attendant, who was a young sister, but she was awesome! Very courteous and made sure I had everything I needed. Every time I saw her she cheerful and welcoming, a great ambassador for Four Seasons! POOL AREA Disappointing! The pool was open but there were no pool attendants or servers out there. The front desk offered to send a server out to take our food and drink orders — twice — but no one ever showed up. I know it is not officially pool season in Texas but there were enough patrons sitting outside on a sunny day to get service… probably about a dozen, including my party. A nice few days in Houston overall. I would definitely give Four Seasons Houston another try.

I absolutely loved the bar , Lara was unbelievable with making sure I received a quality drink. Please come see her . She’s great ! She literally went above and beyond to ensure that my part was taken care . I’ve been to this bar previous times and have not been disappointed once.

We stayed at the Four Seasons for 5 nights for the holidays. I’m starting this review with the positives - Candace who works the night shift, Stephen, Cody, Dylan at the front desk, and Neil (I hope I am remembering his name correctly!) at valet were amazing and so genuinely helpful and accommodating during our stay. They went above and beyond to help us when we experienced last minute logistic issues during check out. We traveled with our 8 month old as well (in an upgraded room) and were given some accommodations (crib with a damaged leg, stuffed toys, baby bathtub) but I do wish the rest of our requests were met (requested diapers to be in the room at our stay and they never came, diaper genie came at the end of our stay likely due to availability). For a Four Seasons stay, I expected a little more for a family friendly stay — lesson learned, just be prepared for your little one regardless. It was definitely a busy season for the hotel, so I wasn’t surprised but disappointed that we had to call for housekeeping on some days and waited over 30 min for guest services to answer the phone. All together, still very pleased with the safe, friendly and accommodating staff at the Four Seasons that had a lovely holiday vibe the whole week.

Writing this review during our stay because the service and experience has been so exceptional...I couldn't wait to share more about it! Let me first start with the people. the entire staff has been so kind and accommodating. From amenities like the house car that took me into the city for a quick appointment to the concierge who Gave me the blueprint on Houston BBQ. my husband unfortunately fell ill during our stay, they helped me get meds and gave us a late checkout so that he could rest a little more before our flight departed. the coffee and food at the restaurant onsite was amazing. the bed is super comfy and the rooms are so modern. also our visit was a few weeks before the holidays and the decor with the beautiful Christmas tree and lights just made the stay a little bit more magical and special this holiday season. I would come back to Houston to just to relax and recharge at this four season hotel. they never miss!!! thank you to the entire staff

I slipped on the floor because of a puddle going to the bathroom in the lobby. The hotel was mot accommodating at all. My knee was cut and blood was dispersed. See photos. I will have to go to the Doctor tomorrow stitches may be needed. Please be aware, this establishment doesnt care about your well being. Especially the manager otto.
