Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria

Decent hotel, but dated. TV wasn’t reliable. Channels had distorted pictures. Ceiling & walls had water damage. Breakfast buffet, was the highlight. Alma, was the shining star. Personable and kind. She kept suggesting additional dishes and filled us to the gills. The other staff members were great as well.

Friendly staff. Efficient reception. Everything works. Had a room partly facing the highway but did not notice noise. Gym was ok. Valet parking was reliable and quick. Breakfast was ok. The room was clean. A well organized hotel with staff that knows their trade.

Jermarcus is the best manager that I’ve met at any hotel, I never leave reviews but I had to because he really took care Of me, customer service is key in a business and he’s really on top of it. As mad and upset as I was he really put a smile on my face. Because of him I am definitely coming back and recommended this hotel to everyone! Thanks again Jermarcus!

I stay in the Galleria area often due to work and usually stay in different hotels just for the variety, this trip decided to stay in The Royal Sonesta. Now this is a very nice hotel but is is no way a luxury hotel and certainly not a "resort". What I found appalling was they charge a Resort Fee of $26.00 per night to the bill and adding insult to injury it is not very well communicated at all. I'm not familiar with any other Galleria hotels in Houston adding this nonsense to the bill. Then tack on the the overnight parking is $42.00 it is ridicules...$68.00 PER NIGHT in add ons.

My room was clean and it was quiet . It was better than I expected and the view was nice on the 12th floor . I also liked the auto night lights when I got out of bed to use the toilet in the middle of the night .I would book again next time when I go back to Houston.
