Built in the style of an ancient Thai village, Anantara Resort & Spa Hua Hin is a fine reflection of the town’s royal roots. In the 1920s, Rama VI and Rama VII built summer residences here to escape Bangkok’s stifling heat, and it’s still a seaside destination for aristocracy. Anantara’s interpretation is embellished with rich hardwoods, Thai silks and private balconies or terraces where guests can preside in peace over their exotic terrain.

Beautiful room, excellent restaurant facilities and a great pool. Lovely bar overlooks the sea but not beach available. Apart from a few steps at Reception the resort is easily accessible. Lush green and well managed grounds

Our stay at this resort was a mix of highs and lows. The resort itself is stunning, with well-maintained facilities and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff—always ready with a smile, exceptionally attentive from breakfast service to housekeeping, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome. The restaurants were beautifully decorated, creating an elegant dining ambiance. However, the food didn’t quite match the setting. It all felt as if it was coming from the same kitchen, lacking variety and the luxurious authenticity expected at this price point. Unfortunately, our room was a letdown. While the resort boasts incredible facilities, the accommodations fell short. The room was dated, with noticeable areas of rotten wood that created an unpleasant smell. For the price we paid, we expected a much higher standard. If the rooms were brought up to the same quality as the facilities and service, this would easily be a five-star experience. With some improvements, this resort has the potential to be truly exceptional.

We had a Seaview suite, which was very spacious with a large balcony. The breakfast choice was amazing, as was the Saturday night BBQ. The hotel grounds are very well maintained. As a suite guest we were able to use the lagoon pool which was an oasis of calm and serenity. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and always did their best to make you feel at home. This was our second visit to the hotel and we will return.
