About the Hotel

Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin was once an important stop along the railway from Bangkok to Malaysia. The original Railway Hotel was a staple of the booming Hua Hin area in the 1920’s. Now, the newly renovated resort set along the Gulf of Thailand features rooms & suites with bright white facades, dark wood flooring and private terraces. Eight world-class golf courses are minutes away from the resort. The Railway Restaurant features striking checkerboard flooring with bright white terraces overhead to replicate the original railway station, and serves Thai cuisine with international and European influences in an indoor/outdoor venue. SPA Cenvaree sits in a tropical garden and features traditional Thai Healing herbs and oils.

Beautiful stay in every way

We just loved it here. So much character and history which makes it stand out from large corporate and package hotels.. Everything about it ticked all of the boxes for us.

Weekend holiday in Huahin

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Hotel and services are generally on high quality, as expected. However, the hotel did not return the deposit reservation which they charged on check-in (on top of the advance payment of the rooms reservation), in timely manner.

Needs sympathetic updating

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Lovely colonial hotel, but in need of updating without spoiling this feel. Pools are tired and rooms need upgrading to include USB points and sockets that are usable. Staff are all very attentive. Facilties are good. Food and drink are unnecessarily expensive which doesn't encourage you to stay in.

Wonderful stay in Hua Hin

Returned to this hotel for the first time in 10 years - last visited when it was a Sofitel. It is definitely the best place to stay in Hua Hin - very central but with great beach access, it has beautiful spacious grounds so even at peak season does not feel crowded. The rooms are very comfortable, with good storage and space - we were in two different types during our stay and while the more expensive one had a few extras (coffee machine, separate bath and shower) they were both lovely, with great views of the ocean from the spacious verandah, nice beds and good aircon. Breakfast buffet was excellent - very wide range of fresh food. Service throughout was very good - from housekeeping to restaurant to the pool team (who had sunbed management beautifully under control with everyone getting what they wanted! It is very spacious!). Decent gym with mixture of machines and weights that satisfies holiday fitness maintenance. All meant a wonderfully relaxing holiday and will definitely be returning.

Gorgeous!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Unquestionably the best hotel in Hua Hin, and I have stayed in a few. Vast, exquisite gardens, beautifully maintained, like a capital city’s parkland. Charming, friendly, and helpful staff. Beautiful location, right on the beach, with many swimming pools. Some ideal for families and children, some ideal for adult lane swimming. All set in a stunning environment. This will be my go-to hotel in future when I visit Thailand.
