Set on a two and a half-hectare site with 200 metres of frontage on the fabled Perfume River, Azerai La Residence, Hue has 122 rooms & suites. The colonial mansion at the heart of the resort was built in 1930s as part of the residence of the French Resident Superieure. The mansion’s distinctive façade, its long horizonal lines and nautical flourishes are hallmark of the streamline moderne school of art deco architecture. Its two complementary wings, built in 2005, are contemporary in design yet echo elements of art deco aesthetics and embrace an expansive tropical garden and salt-water swimming pool.

Old colonial governor house transformed into a large luxury hotel. Good location on the bank of the “river of perfumes”, nice pool but did not get to enjoy it as the weather was rainy. The rooms are nice but very classic. The whole place is a bit snobby and cold.

What a unique and wonderful hotel. It's clearly restored but the restoration was done with such sensitivity and care, you feel like you have transported back to the 1930's. We loved just sitting in the charming Deco bar, walking through the corridors, enjoying breakfast in the dining room. And the staff were so lovely and kind. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hue.

This was one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room, pool and restaurant were fantastic. The best, though, was the spa. It was lovely and calming. The surroundings and staff were superb. I highly recommend Trang, who gave me a top notch massage. She is truly a master of her craft.

The room was clean and had all of the needed amenities, but it was slightly small for our family of 3. The staff was very welcoming and kind throughout our stay. My husband and I both got massages and it was done to perfection. The spa had a great ambiance and my massage therapist, Trang was excellent! She was able to identify my tense muscles with little instruction and get the knots out. I would highly recommend this hotel and the spa!

Stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful Colonial-style hotel. Were greeted warmly upon arrival. The complimentary nut bar was a nice touch! The room was spacious with a large patio with River view. It was Vietnam’s rainy season, so we stayed at the Hotel after our half-day tour in the afternoon. At first, I was hesitant to have lunch at the Hotel ‘cause breakfast was not so good. To our surprise, lunch was delicious. Also tried Hotel’s massage. It was very comfortable! In the evening, rain stopped & we walked bout 10 mins to the restaurant recommended by the Hotel. The Wagyu Pho was one of the best! We also liked the crispy noodle. Would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel!
