On an Island in the Adriatic Sea, amidst medieval towns and ancient cobbled streets, find a resort that looks as if its stepped directly out of the pages of a modern architectural digest. Overlooking the cerulean blue sea, with fantastic terraced gardens and a cascading waterfall filled pool, Amfora, Hvar Grand Beach Resort is the new jewel of Croatia's ancient resort Island of Hvar. Enjoy sun and surf from the private beach, rejuvenating body treatments at the Sesori O center and Secori C Spa at the iconic 1930s Bonj Les Bains beach club, and dine under billowing white tents on a teak deck as the sunsets. Romantic, luxurious, and chic beyond all reason, Amfora makes it is easy to see why Condé Nast Traveler rated Hvar as one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world.

We were there as a group of 29 French guests and the opinions on this place were all going into the same direction. The rooms, the restaurant, the bar, everything was of high quality. Even some courageous ones were testing the wonderful swimming pool We couldn't stay longer to check every thing deeper but we had a good impression on the personal, smiling and helpful people.

The hotel has beautiful views from the sea everywhere. Located by the beach and walking distance from the town. Breakfast has plenty of options for all tastes. The pool area is great for couples and kids. Just make sure to look at the ferry schedules before you plan your trip, mainly if off summer where number of lines is reduced.

The hotel was a short walk from the town of Hvar along a lovely pathway by the sea. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was lovely and we ate in the hotel one evening and the food was very good. The staff were friendly and professional and there was a lovely pool area too. Would recommend.

Hotel looks good, staff friendly, convenient location and breakfast was ample with many choices although given stone cold plates for hot meals and hot ones for fruit and cold items! Luggage transfer was a much appreciated touch. Stayed 7 nights in junior suite but not worth the 4,000 Euro bill! Had to keep asking for coffee/tea/water for the room but told to use room service! I certainly wasnt going to pay even more or keep phoning! Pool freezing so no one used it and on return home found i'd been charged for pool towels when I made sure to give my room number every time on return! Invoice was in Croatian and reception did not point out this charge until I translated the bill! Fire alarm sounded on the morning of my last day and two housekeeping staff I asked didnt know where to go or what was happening! On checking emergency exits and signs myself they were very confusing and id say impossible to navigate if hotel was dark or smoke filled!

Our first time in Hvar and it was very welcoming. Breathtaking scenic view and weather. Very near to the town centre and you can stroll along the coast with many restaurants for your palate. Very suitable for family for many activities in the clear waters or beautiful pools. Food in the restaurant was sumptuous and lots of choices. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful!
