Lovely stay in Inverness

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We are so happy we booked this place for our stay. The staff were very nice, the food at the restaurant was delicious, hotel is located in a great area, walkable to city centre and the view was just stunning from our room. River ness was right there along with the ness islands and that was fantastic! The botanic gardens are also close by and i can imagine it’s even better during the summer. When we are back to Inverness, we will book here again for sure. The only thing that seemed to be an issue was that the bathroom had a bad smell to it. Even when we would leave for the whole day, the smell remained so we had to leave the bathroom door open the whole day eventually. But this would not take away from how much we adored this place. Stay here, you won’t regret it.

Nice room and service, check-in was lovely but stay was marred by unpleasant bathroom smell

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

The check-in process is unique, with the staff offering champagne and a sit-down while they do the paperwork. It's a lovely way to be greeted and elevates the experience. Bathroom: In our room the toilet and sink was in a separate room from the shower and sinks. The shower pressure was weaker but what really bothered us was that both rooms were interior and did not seem to have much ventilation. Whether because of this lack of ventilation, housekeeping, or prior guests, the shower room had a faint smell of feces and the bathroom had a scent of urine. We tried to air both out and asked the front desk for some air freshener. They sent housekeeping who gave a few sprays, but it wasn't enough to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, this made staying in the room unpleasant. Room: The room was spacious and had a door out to a small garden area, which was a nice change from other hotels we stayed at because it allowed us to leave it open to cool the room and get fresh air. Food: The breakfast buffet was good, with an option to order an individual dish as well as get fruit, cereal, juices, and pastries from the buffet.

True Scottish Hospitality

My husband and I had the most incredible evening at the Torrish restaurant, as we had been staying at Ness Walk's sister hotel, The Kingsmill Hotel. Fraston, our wonderful server, was so attentive. The food was just out of this world, a true spotlight of locally sourced produce, meat, and fish. Cosidering my husband doesn't eat fish, he absolutely loved the trout! Thank you, Kevin, Fraston, and team for such lovely evening and we will be back soon!.

Happy Anniversary to us

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

As part of a weekend trip to the Highlands we chose Ness Walk as a random hotel to spend our wedding anniversary which turned out to be a great plan .Recent hotel experiences have been very mixed and often disappointing primarily because of staff inexperience or indifference. Ness Walk was a welcome return to first class service. From the very outset all boxes ticked being met by the concierge making sure we parked in the best possible spot, a relaxed champagne reception with meaningful information about our stay ;attentive but relaxed staff serving in the restaurant and bar, lovely room and facilities .Any and all of our requests were met timeously and without fuss. To be honest , it is hard to provide any useful criticism as we don't think our stay could have been improved. We would definitely recommend this hotel , and we will definitely go back.

Beautiful hotel in Inverness

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Five Star hotel in a beautiful area in Inverness. We had the suite on the second floor which was a "small apartment" to say the least. Breakfast was very enjoyable all the days we were there. Staff were amazing. Many guys there just to play golf in the surrounding areas.
