Set just a few miles north of Dallas, in the hills of Irving, Texas is The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas. Although this hotel is close to the active city life, guests will feel as if they are in a secluded destination, where they can enjoy as much or as little activity as they desire. Spacious guest rooms offer an extraordinary range of views and are situated in either the nine-story Resort tower or the low-rise villas adjacent to the golf greens. Top of the line amenities, elegant decor and comfortable furniture create a perfect retreat for guests.

I was at this hotel 4 nights. The rooms are simple ( vs other Ritz Carlton in the world) but nice. The gym that belongs to the Nelson Gold Club is really nice The food is clearly not Ritz Carlton grade. Nor the food nor the service. I have tried each of the 3 food venues. The Italian (breakfast) ....eggs had no taste, and the yogurt+ fruit had no taste either. Probably average industrial base products. For lunch, I think the waiter did not really know what the menu was about. Salmon served with no limon, bread was grilled, cold and hard . The diner at the cigar bar...Food was Ok ( Pasta) but waitresses did not really know their job. Probably no training. Is short, the overall experience wasa long shot from ant other Ritz Carlton I have been to

I am currently staying here and this hotel has far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt an amazing atmosphere of luxury and hospitality. Nancy in security was especially great! She gave me a ride to the nearby grocery store and even offered to wait while I shopped to give me a ride back. She is an excellent ambassador for the Ritz Carlton brand. My room was clean, comfortable and just what I expected from the Ritz Carlton brand. The pool was also just what I needed on a hot Texas day. I enjoyed my time here and I will certainly return the next time I am in Dallas!

The transformation of this property from the Four Seasons into the Ritz is remarkable. I cannot imagine a better spot for a family to tuck in for a weekend or for a business group to hold a conference. The Golf course is pristine, the fitness center (including indoor and outdoor pool) has everything you need, and the spa is world-class. Lots of places to walk around and the pickleball courts are a great add. I'm also fond of the location - close enough to DFW/DAL that it's a breeze to get to, but far enough away that once you're beyond the gates, you'd have no idea you were in a major metro area A few items to add: we started each morning at "Campo" for coffee and fresh pastries - wonderful way to start the day. Knife italian has phenomenal steaks - don't miss 'em. And finally, the poolside food is great. I had a burger, my wife a poke bowl, and some delicious poolside cocktails - perfect! The staff was fantastic and was there to help us at every turn. We have an infant, so we were a bit nervous about the trip, but everyone was so kind and the staff went out of the way to make her feel welcome too (she loves her new Ritz lion) We will definitely be back!

I needed a solo wellness, weekend getaway and used our corporate rate to book a stay here knowing the quality of The Ritz Carlton brand. I hadn't been since it was The Four Seasons. The hotel is quite lovely and has beautiful amenities. The door persons, bellhops and front desk associates were very welcoming and professional. Due to my Gold Elite Status with Bonvoy I received a complimentary upgrade to a corner tower king room with a furnished balcony. I was so blessed to receive this room and loved the view overlooking the pool and outdoor back patios with a slight view of the golf/fitness area. ROOM: The room was so spacious with a separate lounging area, large bathroom, and furnished balcony where I had my coffee/breakfast each morning and sat each night before bed. Unlike some of the other reviews, my room did have blackout curtains (I wouldn't have slept otherwise) and I was able to sleep in both days. The big CON to this room was that I went for a restful, relaxing getaway and the AC wasn't working properly. It was cool when I arrived and would shut off during the night so it kept me up on an off all night long due to it getting hot then cool (never cold) in my room all night long. I called for them to review it the next day and they did and said 'it is fixed'. A sweet front desk person (Jasmine) even came up to my room to show me how to turn the fan on high so it would stay on. The 2nd night was much of the same. The AC is so inconsistent in delivering airflow that I woke up sweating on and off again the 2nd night. DINING: This is the biggest miss for me. Knife Italian was reserved out the first night so I couldn't try it so you either had to do room service or Outlaw, their casual dining. I opted for Outlaw. While there was room for me, there isn't much seating and their menu is very limited but my Las Colinas Salad with brisket was delicious. Service the first night was great. Tried to get a drink and dessert there on Saturday night (not busy that night) and it took 20 mins for a server to approach me. I did try Knife the second night and found that the ambiance was nice but the food for the price is mediocre at best. I am gluten free and I found the food offerings in general for room service, Knife, and Pool bar are very limited. Knife was very hard to find gluten free items and our waiter said that their pastas were technically gluten free b/c they use a 0% flour which I didn't understand. He wasn't very engaging or helpful in my dietary restriction. I did has a poke bowl by the pool the next day and it was fantastic. IN my opinion much better that Knife Italian. Finally, my breakfast on morning one was avocado toast on gluten free bread. I asked for the bread to be really toasted first b/c often times it isn't and it gets soggy. While the avocado mixture was great they delivered it on soggy gluten free bread. The next morning, they offered it to me again and I declined and asked for a the gluten free Belgian Waffle and was told they were out of the waffle the day before and again this day. There were no other options except eggs or an omelette so I opted for a fruit parfait. n fairness, the did comp both of my breakfast meals, which was the right thing to do. Just wish it had been cooked properly and more GF items were made available. SPA: I used the spa for two days in a row. Once for a massage and once for a facial. This is their SHINING star as this staff is fantastic. Very well staffed, professional, and attentive. The facilities are relaxing and plentiful. My two service providers did a fantastic job on my services. However, the standout to me were Delmira and her colleague (Can't recall her name as Delmira helped me most). These two ladies work so hard at enhancing your experience to relax and were there every step to offer their services and assistance. Please note as I asked: The gratuity you give for your service doesn't flow down to them so I tipped them separately and it was well worth it. GOLF: While I didn't golf, there were many people there golfing and I've played the course before and it's beautiful. GYM: I never made it to the gym but they offer an array of classes that are complimentary with your stay. POOL: The pool wasn't crowded and was so nice with plenty of spots to lounge in or out of the sun. ENTERTAINMENT: Friday night there was a lounge singer in the main lobby who had a beautiful voice. There was another singer on the patio of Outlaw but it was hard to enjoy him as the club members had a Halloween Party down the way and their DJ music was competing with the singer at Outlaw. It seemed like a fun party and the music was great. Lots of fun costumes and it was neat to see them all dressed up. Just perhaps wouldn't have had a singer on the patio the same night as a DJ outside too within earshot. Aside from the AC issue, which is huge when you aren't getting restful sleep and the lack of gluten free food options, I would stay here again.

Lovely place with an amazing service . All employees provided great service. The Italian restaurant was simply delicious. I stayed in a villa overlooking the golf course it was relaxing and quiet. All was just wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.
