Ticked all the boxes. Fantastic location with beach on the doorstep and good rooms. Particularly liked the gardens and spotting unusual birds in the trees around the property. Swimming pools are spotless and service was great. There are bikes available to use and really enjoyed jogging the trail paths through the forest. Nice way to start the mornings before lounging on the beach. There's a golf course nearby and horseback riding which you need to pre-book. Maybe next time. The restaurant was very good too.

Peaceful and picturesque pretty much sum it up. Great staff and a great atmosphere too. Quick check in and we were definitely made to feel welcome from the get go. The room was great for a couple. A perfect balance of comfort and style. Nice and clean but most importantly very calm and quiet which meant we slept incredibly well every night. Food very good quality but maybe another choice of a more casual/snack kind of eatery would have been nice. The beach is beautiful and there are plenty of water based activities. I believe this place is popular for weddings which I totally get as it's got a special feel to it.

Beautiful beach setting with excellent customer service and staff but Villa Montana is a bit dated condo project, not a regular full service resort. When we checked in our room was dated, small, smelled of smoke and the toilet wasn't working. After one call to staff the manager immediately apologized and moved us to a much nicer room which made our trip a very good instead of a poor. The resort is an older condo project that is showing some age, wear and tear with many owner occupants. The main pool was closed during our trip for repairs. The beachfront restaurant is really good and beautiful with a rustic open air feel. The beach is awesome offering Long Beach walks right in front. Very few rooms have ocean views. We will not likely be coming back but if you go pay for the larger room and ask to be as close to the water as possible.

A nice change to the usual big chain hotels but glad to say it had high standards and great staff. We were welcomed warmly and settled into our room quickly and down on the beach before the sun set. Picturesque spot. Loved the whole vibe of the place and the staff are well trained and looked after us well. The wait staff and bar staff are friendly and great at giving suggestions. Plenty of parking space and it felt safe and quite exclusive. For us, it was a great option away from the city to relax rather than shop/party.

I’m not sure I would refer to this property as a “resort.” The vibe is more time-share than resort, just without the sales pitch. The pictures on the website do NOT reflect the actual room interiors— they are either very old re-touched pics or maybe AI enhanced. And there are just some not resort-like things. For instance, while the grounds are well maintained, there are not great marked paths to the beach, pool, etc.— so you end up basically walking through year-round residents backyards. So they are having a private party (New Year’s Eve in our case) and there we are, traipsing through in our bathing suits lugging our beach stuff. Or they are washing their cars. Or their young children are zooming around on their hover boards. Worn and/or dirty loungers and just a handful. Just not a resort vibe, if you know what I mean. Also, our room was kind of dirty-not gross, but in need of some deep clean attention in the corners, closet, etc. When you walked in there was already sand on the floor and the patio needed to be power washed with some urgency. The shower leaked/sprayed water and it ended up running through the room— and we could tell that it had happened before and had been minimally cleaned from the water stains. More like a room at an early 2000s La Quinta than a resort. Also important to note— lots of pets. Barking dogs, loose dogs and their poop. And horses. And the horse’s poop. BUT- the location can’t be beat. Especially if you have a car to explore the nearby establishments and other beaches. The resort beach is beautiful and you can easily walk to other beaches but it’s haul. (Bring water!)
