We came from the UK for a wedding reception. It was exceptional. The setting, the food and the hotel facilities. We did not stay but as a wedding venue it was faultless. It is a bit out of the way with nothing around it but for a wedding perfect. You will need the hotel to call you a taxi to leave !

Well worth a stay to see the other Istanbul (the many museums and sights/sites on the Bosporus) but be prepared to take the bus boat or the taxi boat if the city's old centre is the goal of the visit (we have adored the time on the water). A swimming pool, a lounge bar corner and variation in the breakfast were missing. Deserts are delicious. Do explore the restaurants around the hotel or on the other side of the Bosporus if you're there for a longer stay. The hotel proposes a sightseeing boat trip that is very expensive for what it offers in exchange.

Fantastic location with stunning views of the Bosphorus. We were delighted with our balcony room and the spacious, immaculate bathroom. The daily Turkish breakfast right next to the waters of the strait was excellent and featured the famous local yoghurt from Kanlica. We tried the hotel restaurant once and were impressed with the kofte. Lots of great and affordable food is available nearby within a short walk. Do note that yachts going by can blare noisy music in the evenings but the mood otherwise is idyllic and the service excellent. The hotel arranged a very professional and honest taxi driver to take us to airport.

We have booked a room for our anniversary. After dinner we notice a very bad, foul smell in the room and have informed reception. They said the room needs maintenance and will be done after our departure ( excuse me????) I asked them to take care of it, it was late and we had to look for an emergency pharmacy. When we were back they said they have taken care of it and once we entered the room in the late night which was a very tiny room already it was full of room odor, it was impossible to breath even. That was how they have managed it. We went back down to reception and told them a humwn being cannot survive the night in the room due to chemical shock of the room sprey. They were so kind and changed the room, tired and exhausted on a special night where you pay such a high rate, we had to put all our stuff back pack and change room. The other room had not the same view at all. When we were checking out no apologies and they even asked us to pay for thr herbal tea and coffee we had during the night of transition. When I speaked up how bad tje management style, the service and the nightmare we had was, the receptionist said you are right we wont charge you for the 50 lira, it is on us 😂😂 Worst experience ever and no compensation at all, such a cheap service unfortunately.

“This is exactly the kind of boutique hotel we were looking for. Beautiful small hotel on the Bosphorous. Gorgeous views right from the room. High quality appointments and tastefull modern decor. Top notch attentive service and complimentary water taxi provided to cross the river. We would definitely want to come back to this hotel.”

What an unbelievable hotel! As the owner of a five-star luxury hotel in the US, my standards are very high for hotel experiences. When my wife and I set out on a tour of Eastern Europe and Turkey we were more interested in adventure than luxury. To find both at the Ajia Hotel was the highlight of our trip. Exotic Istanbul viewed from the terrace of our room directly over the Bosphorus Strait, and looking at the European continent from Asia is something dreams are made of. What a view! The staff was extraordinarily exceptional and helpful. Just a magnificent experience! Way to go (again) Luxury Link!
