Embraced by an oasis of tropical vegetation in the beach town of Ixtapa,Pacifica Resort Ixtapa is an intimate and sophisticated retreat. Its contemporary Mediterranean architecture is graced with delicate Mexican touches, which celebrate the setting on the country's coveted Pacific Coast. With just 16 suites and penthouses, this member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World ensures an atmosphere of total privacy. The cozy resort also proves that great things come in small packages with two exceptional restaurants. La Luna de Shiva boldly unites Mediterranean and Thai flavors, while La Pampa Steak House offers a classic Argentinean experience overlooking Ixtapa Bay.

Our kids’ (grown adults), favourite place. Food is always great, staff is wonderful, only drawback this year was that the main restaurant was being renovated. Thought maybe this should be down in slow season maybe? This year we had 2 units for extended family and friends.

Another great vacation in Ixtapa. Accommodations at Pacifica were wonderful. The food was great too. We always love our time spent there. We saw old friends and front desk staff who are always wonderful. We will return again next year. Only drawback was the construction going on mid level of the resort

Overall our experience was excellent. Food was better than ever. Service was impeccable. Maintenance was a little slow. We called twice reporting that neither blow dryer worked in our unit. Nor did the plug ins in the bathroom or bedroom work. They finally came and fixed it immediately. Our biggest complaint is that we apparently can't choose who transports us to and from the airport. We prefer Manuel Lara's services but he isn't allowed on the premises so we had to take Pacifica transportation down to the gate. Very annoying.

The resort is beautiful; housekeeping and maintenance staff were excellent and really on top of things. The Tulapanees buffet restaurant was being remodeled so there was the inconvenience of noise during the day near the beach as well as limited restaurant choices while on all-inclusive, but the palapa staff was excellent during our days on the beach.

The staff is awesome. Don’t waste money on the all inclusive, much better restaurants in town and cheaper. Twice on the beach we ordered fish and got chicken. This year, they were doing construction, so our “nice quiet vacation” was mostly pounding and jack hammers on the beach. Wish we had known, we would have gone a different time. They had fewer choices on the buffet because of all the construction. They had the buffet area in a temporary location at the reception area, and that made the pool in that area unusable. We often had long wait times for transportation this year. The staff goes above and beyond to be helpful, and tries very hard to understand you, and to be understood. Google translate is a huge help. We had a timeshare/membership and used it up. We would like to go again, but we are too old to buy another time share. I think our days with Pacifica have come to a close.
