Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta

Stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. On my last day, i feel sad and don’t want to leave Jakarta, just because everyone here treats me as one of their own. Everything seems perfect, the staffs are always smiling, always helpful. The best part is when i said “terima kasih” and they replied with “dengan senang hati” with a broad smile. I am sorry if i cant mention each and everyone of you, but that’s because i cant pinpoint who are the best, as all of them are the best. I manage to remember Gavin who helped me with my things during check in. Thank you so much. Those who work at cinnamon, you guys are the best. Those during check in, how can i forget those warm welcome and birthday wish from you guys. Writing this review, makes me want to come back to Jakarta in Feb next year. Housekeeping staffs, thank you so much in keeping my room spotless and so comfortable. The best part was during turndown service. There’s no flaws in my eyes from hard product to soft products. Before i checked in, my friend told me the hotel is an old hotel, worn out. But there’s no part that i saw is worn out or looks old. In fact, i really love the colour scheme and ambience of the hotel. It is well maintained. Again, many thanks for celebrating my birthday and makes me feel welcomed at Mandarin Oriental. I really love the statement by Liam Neeson: “certain hotels get it. A lot of hotels don’t. Mandarin Oriental gets it everytime”.

I stayed at this hotel with my family of four, and while the space was fantastic and fit us perfectly, the overall experience wasn’t quite what I had in mind. The hotel has a classic, old-world charm, which may appeal to some, but I personally prefer more modern accommodations. The room had a slightly musty smell, which was unexpected. Couldn’t sleep due to the loud traffic. However, the staff truly stood out—they were incredibly welcoming and even surprised me with a thoughtful belated birthday treat. Their kindness and attention made my stay memorable, even if the style of the hotel wasn’t my preference.

One of the best buffet restaurant in jakarta in my opinion, the foods, the services (thanku for Hanike, Vinia, Chef Niken, Devita, Nigel, Willy, Marsha for the experience in Lyon), and the comfortable seat is just right, 9 out of 10 for us 👍🏻

I came with my wife and my friends. Very delicious and attentive service. We had enjoyed the food. We received complimentary dessert as our first time there. Very humble staffs. Carving selections and desserts are the STAR! The amazing thing was restaurant is full with all happy people. This restaurant is the best part of this Hotel. We will be back next year definitely.

We came with booking, but additional 1 person. Receptionist was so kind to find us best table to fit 3 persons. This is one of the best brunch experience in Jakarta. Taste beautiful and presentation great…. Lyon has superb ala carte for mains and deserts. We tried all, rated 5/5…. Attached photo of dessert room. There is not only dessert area, but a spacious dessert room with wonderful selection of fruits, bread, cheese, sweets and sour…. Not forgetting the passionfruit ice cream (best from all beautiful ice cream flavors). Team here are very sweet, all with very beautiful smiles and nice hospitality to all guests here especially Nigel …. And also crew here Fikra, Hanike, Vinia, Chef Niken, Devita, Marsha, Willy ….. thanks a lot.
