Reviews for The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah

A festival of disappointment

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Didn’t like this hotel at all sadly. I didn’t think it looked particularly great online, but it turns out it looks better online than in person. Very sterile over-the-top / garish decor. Didn’t like my room (1513), and found dinner at their restaurant very disappointing (buffet - always a bad sign). The only thing that’s somewhat reasonable is the price ($290/night), but I quickly discovered they rob you blind in other ways - they quoted me $100 for a 20 min drive in a hotel car, which is outrageous. I think they offered me one ride free after I complained which is the only reason I didn’t rate it one star, but the damage was done and they’d already robbed me on the airport transfer at that point. The staff seem nice, but that’s really the only compliment I can give. I stopped by the Shangri-La for dinner, and that seems a much better option.

Luxurious hotel in Jeddah

Luxurious hotel near Red Sea , enjoyed my stay at the Ritz Carlton . The hotel is pure luxury .. every corner of the hotel is tastefully done . Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Felt like staying in a palace . Resturant serves excellent food pricey but worth it . Highly recommend if you want to stay in a palace hotel .

Hospitality

My experience at Ritz Carlton was good. I really enjoyed my holiday here. Desing of the hotel is impressive and stuff are kind and welcoming. Especially my dining at Akira was good and the Hostess Mary is welcoming with smile and helped me with translation. The waitress Anissa gave me good suggestion about food and took care of me nicely. I recommend this place

Wonderful service

We stopped by this beautiful hotel adjacent to the Cornishe for cocktails (mocktails) and the hotel could not have been more welcoming. Front of house, Waleed, was extremely helpful & went over & above to show us the quality of facilities available in this wonderful hotel. It was so nice we visited twice. Next time we are in Jeddah we will certainly consider staying here.

Ridiculous

Restaurant Akida Black which is supposed to be some premium fusion concept served disgusting , old, smelly fish in its mains and rolls. Black cod was a joke of an imitation of Zuma Or Nobu , priced the same but executed so poorly that I am not even sure it was safe to eat it because it smelled so old. In general, the food was just disgusting, such a poor copy of London Asian fusion restaurant that it’s actually kind of funny There was a DJ but she was constantly on her phone sending voice notes or texting. I couldn’t believe it. The service staff try to do their best, our waitress was trying so hard but unfortunately she messed up the payment and only realised 2 hours after we have left that the card didn’t go through. So in the middle of the night while we were sleeping , the restaurant starts calling us. I thought it was a joke and couldn’t figure out how to answer the damn phone. On the 4th call they managed to tell me that they want to come to my room to take a payment because the front desk didn’t take a credit card for our room reservation. Forgot or what ? I had to get up at 3 am for my flight and having to do this at midnight was extremely pleasant. The restaurant was totally empty when we were there and when we paid the bill the waitress gave us a voucher , enthusiastically explaining that we will get a 20% off for our next visit. Which shows they try to figure out a way to get repeat business I just hope the management reads this and realises why people don’t come back , no matter if you give them this 20% or even 80% off
