the good: place is nice.. parking attendants are great. We had top floor (5) ocean front. Room 527 was across from elevator but never heard anything. Music was outside our room again if we closed the slider we heard nothing. we did not hear anyone next to us and hotel was booked solid. the mattress was great. The water was like the carribean very blue. the not so good: the bedroom.. TV wires hang down.. not very nice for the money. the Bathroom.. No fan..the light goes on auto and cannot dim. there is no hook next to the shower for a towel. For the dining room: Nice BUT for breakfast i do not like hearing music.. or at least lower it or make it softer.

The property is immaculate. However for a high-end property I was disappointed that there was no cafe where you could purchase coffee on site. Prior to 8am the hotel would provide you with coffee in the bar area but realistically how many people are getting up before 8am for coffee? After 8am you need to go to the bar and wait in line for the bartender to get you a coffee to go. There is a resort fee of $40 per day which i have no problem paying however i was very disappointed that it only included 2 chairs and no umbrella. The umbrella was another $30 per day at the beach. If I went to the pool there was no charge for the umbrella. Overall staff was not very friendly. When we asked for something there was no sense of urgency or were you greeted with a smile.

The location is great and a clean spotless room facing the ocean was ideal. However the hotel PR is not what you can expect once. you arrive. There are not two dining spots, only one, there is a not really a pantry at 7:00 AM at 7:00 AM two sad looking oranges and two plastic wrapped "muffins. And the chocolate chip cookies in the pantry on your floor only for an hour at dinner time so out of luck for desert. The place is very neat and clean but the concept of serving the customer has taken back seat to revenue. The pool bar server annoyed at getting a drink, the towel person nearly threw a towel at me and the valet could use some manners. Never again.

First visit to this resort and it exceeded our expectations. We booked an oceanfront king bed and we were not disappointed. The room was good sized with a sitting balcony on the third floor. The decor was nautical with blue and white accents. Bathroom was large with two sinks and large walk-in shower. We walked the beach early morning with our complimentary coffee (outside the restaurant) and muffin/fruit in the pantry on each floor. The meals were fairly priced and good quality. Our bar drinks (ginger-pear martini) were heaven! Although this is a family friendly resort, the ambiance was reserved and heart-warming with families and couples-alike - very reserved and quiet. We look forward to our next visit.

One update to my review. Neglected to mention two items. No full length mirror, 1st hotel i've noticed without one. Also, you can purchase a bottle of wine to bring up to your room. I bought Don Miguel Gascon (Argentina), excellent dry red, Malbec, and paid $50 plus tax. I thought the price was a bit exhorbitant. When I arrived home to New York, I decided to go to my friend's neighborhood liquor store and noticed the same bottle - $21! You need to change that! The resort is already luxury priced, so you don't need to overcharge paying guests for a bottle of wine.
