If you are after a true retreat from the world this place is the bomb. A little isolated from the rest of Bali you really need to be looking for a cocooning experience. Not a lot of activities other than the pool/yoga/spa so don’t expect water sports or local shopping. Fewer guests lead to a very personal experience with all the genuinely friendly staff knowing your name. The food and beverages whilst expensive are gourmet. The butler service was exceptional, seamless and attentive without being intrusive.

It was nice. Martino was so kind. The food was detailed and I was able to have a meal in good condition. The food was great. I would like to visit again next time. The introduction of the menu was particularly impressive. Each person's name was written on it

The impeccable service from Raffles Bali, started with our pick up from the airport. The hotel, food, villa, service and amenities were outstanding. All the staff were extremely welcoming, especially our personal butler Gaby, who certainly shined she kept us updated daily on our whats ap chats. Gaby made our wedding anniversary extra special by decorating our room. The head chef Gaetan welcomed us with delicious tasting food. Thank you team for making our 25th wedding anniversary extra special. I highly recommend Raffles to anyone wanting quality service. We will see you again soon.

My wife and I had our second stay in this wonderful property. When we arrived on Wednesday, January 22nd. Raffles sent their car to the airport to take us to the hotel. In addition, a representative of Raffles helped get us through immigration and customs with no problems. We had forgot to fill out the customs form and she took my phone and filled it out and away we went to the car and on to the hotel. The car Raffles uses is a nice BMW vehicle with Internet, bottled water and snacks. The drive was professional and friendly. When we arrived at the hotel at 12:30 PM our Villa was ready. We were taken directly to the Villa where our "butler" checked us in instead of having to go through the procedure in the hotel lobby. My wife had her 80th birthday while we were at Raffles. Our butler had brought in fresh flowers for her, and had taken red rose petals and spelled out Happy 80th birthday on the floor. It was an extra act of kindness that was greatly appreciated by my wife and me. The hotel, which in one sense is not a typical hotel, consists of 32 private villas. Each villa has a private infinity pool and the way the villas are constructed you never see any of the other adjacent properties. Unfortunately, a high rise property is under construction on the right side of the Raffles properties, so your privacy will go away in another year as people in the high rise will be able to look down on the villas. That is very sad for Raffles as the ambiance will be damaged by the new building. We spent eight nights of a six week south asia/pacific at Raffles and I might have been happy to stay at Raffles the entire time. Raffles Bali has to be the best property we have ever stayed in. The staff are constantly aware of your needs and are there within minutes when requested. The property is on a hillside that slopes down to the ocean. Transportation is by "buggies" and you never have to wait long for a buggy to pick you up to transport you to one of the two restaurants, the spa, or the beach. All of the swimming pools are infinity pools which makes them even more special. Each villa has a nice cabana that adjoins the infinity pool, plus the pool has a seating area with umbrellas and dining table and chairs. The pool area is in immaculate condition and is cleaned daily. The villa rooms consist of a very large bedroom that opens up for a view of the infinity pool and the ocean. The bedrooms consist of a great king size bed that makes you sleep like a rock. When we arrived in Bali we had spent the two previous nights on an airplane, so an actual bed versus a lie flat business class Singapore seat, was well received. The bedroom has a nice seating and writing desk. The television is on the wall to the right of the bed. The staff keep fresh fruit and "desserts" in your bedroom and the fruit and desserts are replenished daily. There is a very large walk-in closet behind the bedroom with more space than anyone really needs. Little things like hats, beach bags, umbrellas, shoe shine kits, shoe horns, etc are in this large walk-in closet. The very large bathroom is on the back side of the walk-in closet, opposite the sleeping area. Two sinks, large fluffy towels, a bath tub, Toto automatic bidet toilet and a walk in shower. Lots and lots of large fluffy towels that are replenished twice daily if necessary. My only complaint is I am not a huge fan of the permanent bottles of shampoo, body wash and conditioner in the shower. I prefer the little bottles, but also understand the little bottles have been eliminated for environmental reasons. In the shower there is a door that will take you to an outdoor shower, which i used almost every day. There is something about an outdoor shower that is just so relaxing. While it is a little thing, to me it is one of the extra special things that makes Raffles-Bali extra special. Raffles Bali has two restaurants. Loloan Beach Bar and Grill is on the beach and is informal. We ate there five of the eight nights and the staff knew what our preferences were. Near the end of our stay our drinks appeared automatically because the staff knew where we wanted to sit and what we liked to drink. The food is excellent and very healthy. Rumari is the more forma/upscale restaurant and is located at the top of the "hill" in the main area of the hotel. The food here is also outstanding, we just liked Loloan better. The chef/beverage and food director is very personable and always makes you feel welcome. We only had one evening meal at Rumari, but we had breakfast there each of our eight mornings. I am a breakfast person, so I liked going to Rumari for breakfast. The fruit is always fresh. Juice seems to be freshly squeezed. The eggs are cooked to perfection. The bacon is cooked crisp, which more to our liking. Bread choices are more than ample. Try the Avacado Toast for a healthy and filling breakfast. Occasionally the staff would get mixed up as to what order went to which table, but overall it was not a big deal and everyone just laughed about it. One night we had the staff do a Bar B Que for two at our villa. The staff went out of their way to provide a "romantic" evening for two old people. All of the plants/shrubbery were sprayed for mosquitos and candles were put all around our infinity pool. The food was great, but there was just too much of it. If you are staying at Raffles more than five days I recommend you avail yourself of the en-suite Bar B Que. Two days we went to the Spa, one day for a couples full body massage and one day for a facial. Both procedures were top notch. The young ladies in the spa were very good at what they did. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of all of the staff at Raffles, and especially our butler. The staff is obviously well trained. We were at this hotel in 2023 shortly after it opened and we saw many familiar faces, who also remember us. The staff at Loloan Beach Bar and Grill had not changed. Obviously Raffles takes great care of their staff and appreciates the way they carry out their duties. The day we left Bali, our flight was scheduled to leave at 8:15 PM. The staff at Raffles allowed us to stay in our Villa till 5:00 PM and then took us to the airport. This was done without our requesting the late check out. Either our villa was not rented, or the arriving couple were arriving late in the evening. It was so much better to be able to stay in the villa than having to wait at the airport. We have stayed at the original Raffles in Singapore which is also a great property, but not nearly as great as the Raffles Bali. My wife and I have visited 103 countries and stayed in lots of very nice hotels, but none as nice as Raffles Bali. We do look forward to visiting Boston in the future and staying in the new Raffles-Boston.
