Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last of the great palaces of India and one of the largest private residences in the world – set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens. Designed by renowned Edwardian architect Henry Lanchester, the palace is a blend of eastern and western architectural influences. Its majestic 105 – foot high cupola is influenced by the Renaissance, while the towers draw inspiration from Rajput tradition. The lavish interiors with gilt furniture and elegant artwork follow the Art Deco style, complemented by the exotic murals by the self-exiled Polish artist Stefan Norblin. In 1997, the palace was converted into a luxury hotel, and is now managed by TAJ. With this, the TAJ extends its grand luxury palace experience to the city of Jodhpur.

The hotel is magnificent and beautiful, but the Taj staff makes it more beautiful and warm. Right from checking in to every day spent here people's warmth makes this so worth it. Special mention to few people Karan in dining- his kindness, eye to details is extraordinary, the way he took care of my child's need without even us telling us amazing and so typical of what makes Taj what it is Jabar is another person - the way he dealt with us felt like warmth of family touched our heart Would also like to mention Saddique, Chef ( I am not able to recollect his name) for their hospitality Parkhee in the reception is very attentive to guest requirement and has been always a call away and always energetic and smiling Apart from this every one i met has been very warm to us. Thank you everyone for making our stay wonderful..

A perfect experience surrounded by kind and welcoming staff provided a top notch experience. The professionally and level of attention to every detail did not go unnoticed. I will definitely be returning. Special thank you to Karan for his wonderful service.

This is an experience stay rather than a hotel which you will book into whole touring Jodhpur. The objective of the hotel is to impress you by treating you like a Royal. We were upgraded to a suite and the pomp on arrival is truly impressive. Beautiful property and grounds. However you need strong knees and there is a lot if stairs. Loved the food and service. One suggestion - please remove the lizards in the corridors…not expected in such a high priced luxury hotel.

The place is Historical. Right from the arrival I felt like a king. Beautiful palace has a lot to offer. Breakfast is served in pillars and breathtaking view, we were accompanied by peacock during the breakfast. Food is amazing !! Chef Kush and shobhit your team is amazing Our beds were so cosy and the Housekeeping staff was very attentive. Jodhpur city tour took full day but great architecture, Heritage well preserved And last but not the least the staff from the Restaurant is always welcoming Rudresh ji, Karan ji, Kapil ji, Manisha ji, Narendra ji Kudos to the Umaid Bhawan team ❤️❤️❤️ Will be back soon !!
