We like every aspect of this resort. The architecture, the nature, location, the staff, the food, the room, the pool, etc.

From the moment I arrived at One & Only Resort, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience. The resort offers the perfect blend of luxury, natural beauty, and top-tier service, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to escape the everyday and indulge in a true vacation.

We truly felt like we were on a private island. The resort's unique feature of buggy rides to various areas made getting around both fun and exclusive. It was peaceful, with very few guests around, especially during breakfast, which gave us a sense of serenity and privacy. The service was exceptional—friendly staff who went the extra mile to make us feel at home. The highlight for the kids was the thoughtful complimentary gift they received: a kids' bag and a Jellycat monkey, which they loved. Being in an Oceanfront Suite, the beach was just steps away, giving us direct access to the beautiful coastline. The kids had a blast discovering nature up close, spotting crabs, monkeys, and squirrels roaming around the resort, making it a perfect blend of relaxation and outdoor adventure. A special shoutout to Daniel Hakim, the Chef and the Ladies at Ambara for their attentiveness during our stay from 24th to 26th November 24

My partner and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Malaysia after flying from Mumbai to Singapore. We checked in for a nine-night stay at the resort. The One & Only is one of our preferred choices when staying somewhere, and we had just visited the One & Only Palm Dubai a week before heading to Mumbai, so we know what to expect. Firstly, the staff here are fantastic, always friendly and ready to assist in any way possible. The resort itself is beautiful, and I can imagine it would be very popular during the high season. It truly is a wonderful retreat. Although we didn't use the spa, other guests mentioned that it was incredible. Breakfast at the resort is excellent, with a large selection of quality options. However, I found the limited evening dining choices disappointing, especially since the resort is quite isolated, making it difficult to go out to local restaurants. When I asked reception Staff for restaurant recommendations, they suggested a fish restaurant, which was odd since I had mentioned that my partner doesn’t eat fish, so we wouldn’t be dining at Hoshi. There are two main restaurants within the resort and a beach club restaurant about a mile away, accessible by a buggy. One of the restaurants, Hoshi, specialises in sushi and sashimi, so if you don’t eat fish, your options are limited to dining at Ambara, where breakfast is served, and the Beach Club. Unfortunately, Ambara (try the Sambal Prawns) is closed on one of the days of the week, which means you'll have to go to Ember Beach Club instead. In fairness, the staff will accommodate special requests if they can. I asked for a traditional Malaysian meal, and it turned out to be fantastic, the best meal I had during my stay. I appreciated that nice touch. The room configuration was a bit unusual in our opinion, with the bedroom and bathroom/toilet located in separate buildings. You have to go outside and cross the villa by your pool to get to the bathroom from the bedroom. It's not a major issue, but my partner and I found it somewhat inconvenient over time. We were told this represented a traditional Malayan house. While I wouldn’t return to this resort, I want to emphasize that this has nothing to do with the wonderful staff, who made our stay enjoyable. Instead, it was mainly about the room configuration and the lack of dining options in the evenings.
