Parrot Key Hotel & Villas

We stayed at Parrot Key for 3 nights in January 2025. It was a lovely property and a lovely room. We weren't expecting that it was 2 stories with a spacious living room area. What a treat! It felt like a medium sized apartment! We would highly recommend this hotel. They require valet service for vehicles, which we don't usually like, but they had lots of staff so the car came quickly each time.

Fabulous establishment! The folks there are so welcoming and actually happy you are there. It's remarkable. I loved the love of the wildlife, they were equally as welcomed. The room was clean, updated and I love the garden side access to my room. Will definitely stay here again!

This is a great choice for people who want to be close enough to enjoy the action of downtown Key West but far enough away to not deal with full time partying and craziness. These cottages feel secluded and calm even though you can walk across the street to shopping, groceries, alcohol. The grounds are beautiful and the canal beach is relaxing. The pools are well maintained. We found the cleaning staff to be helpful and had no issues with cleanliness (though bathrooms could use updating). Beds and bedding were high quality and comfortable. Cafe/bar are decent. Uber/Lyft are never more than 5 min away and $10-15 per ride. Shuttle to beach and downtown is available if the times work for you (bikes and golf carts are available, too). Negatives: The music at the pools (and throughout the grounds) is both LOUD and terrible (worst covers of every song you’ve ever heard set to a tropical beat). If you go to the adults only pool, it’s slightly less loud. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff varies. 7 AM leaf blowing is definitely unwarranted at a “resort.” If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs.

Just sad day to write this we've gone there over three Christmases and this is the worst experience we've ever had. The rooms are broken and moldy in the bathrooms the windows, the bedrooms. The staff kicked you out of the pool if you're five minutes 10 minutes before closing, they ran out of food on Christmas Eve And drink mixers. If you call the front desk, they literally hung up on you. I had to call to get extra towels and they hung up on me six times this is not where you want to stay. It's a sad day and management does not care they'll send you happy emails, but they'll do nothing about it

Oh what a find this hotel was! We loved everything, the look of it (Colonial), the vibe, the staff, the cleanliness, the pools, the bar, the food and our stunning room with walkout beach. Great locality with shops within walking distance and down town just 10 minutes away, we parked up and just used cabs from Lyft which were really reasonable.
