Sunset Key Guest Cottages at Hilton Key West Resort
245 Front Street
Key West, Florida

Sunset Key is amazing. The food, the beach and the pool were perfect. Finesse Experience with Sarah was great. My kids loved it. Gave us some time to relax and enjoy the sun. She entertained the kids for an hour. The staff and service was top notch.

Sunset Key Cottages resort is sadly overrated. I would consider a few things before booking: For what you’ll spend over a week, you could book a large home with a private pool on the water elsewhere in the Keys. The place is full of entitled guests who get up at 6am to put towels on pool chairs they have no intention of using for hours, and the resort does nothing about it. So the chairs directly in front of your cottage are taken by people who have no intention of sitting in them for ages… very unpleasant. Housekeeping takes no pride in their work. And why would they? Usually a $40 daily tip gets you some joy, but not here. They do the bare minimum, and sometimes not even that. Management needs to pay them more or otherwise treat them better. That aside, the staff at the desks are lovely. They will do anything to help you. It’s kind of fun taking the boat back and forth, although it adds a little stress if you have a reservation on Key West. Puzzles, games, tennis, fitness center - nice ways to amuse the family. Nice destination for families with small children. Water shoes at the beach are a MUST if you want to swim. Think golfball-sized sharp coral mixed with gravel and sand. Just at the water’s edge. The beach itself is lovely white powder.

Sunset Key has become a family tradition that we look forward to – it’s a wonderful, family-friendly, luxury hotel. Our kids love spending all day at the pool and the boat rides make visiting Key West super accessible, easy to get in and out. Most importantly, everyone from Andre in the front desk to Art and the staff at Latitudes to Erick at the pool/activities were all phenomenal. The whole team embodies excellence in hospitality with a warm, caring, and positive attitude – we loved our stay at Sunset Key and look forward to coming back again! —— From our daughter (9 yo): “We’ve had a great stay, it’s been just amazing for everyone in our cottage. We never knew we could have this much fun here, it’s one of my favorite hotels all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

My husband and I came here for the first time 25 years ago. It was a trip that always stuck with me and I always wanted to get back. I saw over the years that management had changed and I wondered what it was like. Decided to try it again for spring break with our girls as our oldest daughter was going to meet us from her college and we needed to stay in the country. Wow. What a pleasant surprise. We stayed in the same oceanfront cottage that we had years ago. But they changed the restaurant (it's so lovely) and the island was now finished with all the cottages complete and then there is a section with very nice homes. We loved every minute of it. Relaxed, quiet, well kept, and an overall very lovely experience. We will be back.

From the second you get on the boat to the time you leave the service is unreal. We went with our family for 8 days. We spent most of our time sitting at the pool and the beach which are both breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We also went fishing, played tennis, basketball, and volleyball. This was our second time back. Our boys were looking forward to seeing Jasi who greets and takes care of the guests while they are on the Island. Jasi remembered our entire family and took care of us again. We ate and drank daily at Flippers (Pool Bar) and Thomas the bartender was second to none.............. He gets to know you and what you like. Dan served us espresso and mimosas at breakfast almost every day and made each time we sat down memorable.
