Reunion Resort & Golf Club

We enjoyed 5 nights here to relax, play some golf,eat good food and swim. We arrived quite late after a stressful car journey through awful I-4 traffic so a warm welcome went down a treat and a pretty easy check in. I’d heard that this place was huge (it is BTW) and signage not great BUT I thought getting around was easy enough, roads nice a quiet, 25mph speed limit and a large array of different properties to choose from. We opted for a 3 bed villa, and whilst there was only 2 of us we enjoy having plenty of space. There was indeed loads of room in the villa located adjacent to the 11th tee on the Palmer Course. Upstairs boasts a large master bedroom, complete with walk in closet, and a twin room with en-suite facilities. Downstairs is another large double bedroom, well equipped kitchen, lounge and dinning areas. Furniture, whilst a little dated was good quality and i particularly enjoyed the ‘lazy boy’ armchair, which was a godsend as I had to sleep upright for a few nights due to some badly bruised ribs (done pre trip) There is also a very small rear patio set but it’s a little grubby, and I’d have to say the outside of the villa is in need of redecoration and good clean. Granted they had just got over hurricane Milton, but this cannot be used as an excuse it’s not been cleaned / redecorated in a while. It was noticeable that there did seem to be an ongoing programme of refurbishment works on the resort during our stay. I’ve list pros and cons below Pros: Good location (as far as theme parks etc) Large space Easy to navigate Staff friendly mostly (clubhouse and palmer caddie master both a little grumpy) Some great golf course with some fun holes (lots bunkers) Nice range facilities Cons: Bit dated in need of update Shower pressure poor TV service was awful whole time we were there Heritage Crossing V 7601 was next to highway & noisy so if you light sleeper I’d be asking to stay further into the resort Some poor greens back 9 palmer (disease filled with sand? Opening times to pool a bit limited 8-6 Smaller pools hard to find ? According to the map there are supposed to be loads these about yet I could never find them? No locker rooms at the clubhouse or changing rooms at the main pool so had to change in toilet! Overall, reunion is a nice resort with lots to do, mini golf, pickle ball, swimming pools and they boast what they say is a water park, however don’t expect wet n wild (showing my age here) it’s very small and sadly was closed during our stay. We played all 3 courses, which were all enjoyable and I liked the large number of different tee blocks so you could make it as hard or as easy as you wanted. We were paired up twice out of 3 games, both of which were between 4.5 to 5 hrs, whereas when we went out as a 2 ball we were done in around 3 and a bit hours thanks to a curious fourball allowing us through. I also think it helped having a very early tee time (8am) which we did purposefully due to our body clocks coming from UK being up at the crack of dawn day one! I would also like to address the TV issue, the system IMO is slow and outdated (was a bit like a poor version of Sky) they tried to resolve it around 8 times with 4 different engineers (well the issue is they are NOT TV engineers they are maintenance guys just trying their level best) don’t became a huge frustration throughout our stay. Many may think I’m being picky here as they don’t come on holiday to watch TV Yet when we are self catering I like to relax during the evening watching TV , even as awful some of the US stuff is! After asserting myself with the front desk they kindly offered me a $100 gift card which I spent in the process shop so they tried their best and it went a Long way

Best vacation we have had in a while even with the hurricane we still had a blast for my sons 7th birthday celebration of sale of my home and of course hurricane 🌀 party as we stayed during hurricane I have not one single complaint about where we stayed RCI I'm so happy I'm a member with you, yall recommended the perfect place for my sons birthday thank you so much

Very well equipped condo in lovely resort. Good facilities on site - restaurants, pools, tennis, golf Very convenient for exploring the theme parks Would definitely stay there again

This review is based on jeeves who ate the management company in this resort. The rental home we rented was in a filthy state upon arrival, the pool was dirty (including grime on the bottom of the pool) dead roaches all around the inside of the property, blood stains on ine of the mattresses, dirty underwear stuffed down the sofa, broken blinds, broken mosquito nets on the window, mouldy outside furniture, broken parasols, clumps of hair under the beds, stains on the laminate floor in lounge. Booked our stay almost a year ago. A few weeks ago we received a notification that the water park would be closed during our stay. The main reason we chose this resort was to use the water park. I tried to cancel our reservation and they wouldn’t cancel or change our reservation to another property with a pool even though I purchased trip insurance. During our stay in the co so high rise we tried to use the roof pool which had green and slimy water. We went to the Eagles pool o e day which was ok. We tried to go back another day and it was closed for a private event. We tried to go again to the roof pool but it closes at 4 for dinner. We tried to take the shuttle to one of the other pools but they never came to pick us up. Unless you are renting a home with a pool, I would not recommend this resort. They also don’t supply basic essentials like toilet paper and they do t sell any on their small shop in the lobby. This reunion really caters to big groups and not families. They also advertise that you can watch the Disney fireworks and while technically true, they are really too far away to see them.
